Closing Blog

I’d like to announce for anyone who regularly follows stuff here that I’ll be closing this blog.

Encountered one too many - and one was too much for my emotional and mental health, to be honest, much less the quite a bit more that I’ve seen - images, gifs, videos, etc of content that I find upsetting.

I’ve tried blacklisting, but it still isn’t always tagged and sometimes shows up on the blogs of new people who follow me that aren’t obvious blogs to not click.

It’s not good for me and I’ve decided avoiding that is regrettably more important than the memes, neat stuff, and interesting discussions I occasionally encounter here.

When the aesthetic queue runs out, it runs out.

The freedom of flight is all well and good, and it makes sense to focus on that when you've been living as an earth-bound little ape for too long. The ability to go anywhere your wings can take you isn't even exclusive to winged-kind, since humans love putting themselves in baskets and planes and whatever to try.

What I really miss, that your average human probably will not relate to, is being able to move my wings. That's what it comes down to. The fresh air and height is great, but a dragon without flight is like a whale kept in a tank, chickens in battery cages. Natural behaviors are stunted. The mind deteriorates. If I had feathers I'd be plucking them like a traumatized parrot.

Have you ever gone too long without exercise, and taking a walk made your muscles tingle and warm with relief? That's what I want, but those muscles don't even exist in my body in a way they can be used. I'm gonna die on this planet without having the chance to flap my wings like I deserve to. If I'm lucky, I'll get another chance at it on a next go around. But there's the possibility I never will, and the closest I'm ever gonna get is the agony of a muscle I can't stretch.
