Arcane Dominance Reform: A Statement from the Cosmic Council
For those who have no idea what this is about, essentially it was found that certain members of Arcane were secretly spying on other flights, employing various methods. They were also saying negative things about the rest of the flight, which upset many Arcanauts.

From screenshots submitted by an anonymous source, it was found that Arcane actually did have a spy ring. Members included many members of the Celestial Senate. The Celestial Senate was the leadership organization that ran most of Arcaneâs events and kept the flight together and fairly well organized.
Evidence includes screenshots of a spreadsheet of Arcaneâs various spies and contacts (which included instructions to bold names who had direct access to other flightsâ forums), a Discord userlist of participants in their spy chat, and an example screenshot of some information obtained by spying, posted in a âdom-intelâ slack channel.
The source also mentioned that S/B was banned in December for attempting to hack the Light flight forums (where it was actually for scripting/botting), but was then allowed to make a new account, B. They denied this, saying that it once existed but they had stopped spying in 2015, but then evidence arose proving they were lying. They eventually admitted that they were spying on Lightâs slack chat as this current drama was occurring.
A third set of information showed S/B Â having uploaded non-Arcane dom documents into a shared folder, confirming that they had direct access to other flightâs information.
The final set of information shows that the Senate has no regard for how any of the rest of the flight feel, flaunting their spying and pridefully coining themselves âwar criminalsâ, as well as forcefully obtaining information. Furthermore, screenshots have been found where some members of the Senate state that ânow all we need is for 30,000 members to leave Arcane.â They then go on to say that they are Arcaneâs exalting machine, claiming that they do not need the other members of Arcane to win at dom. Currently, âAll the members of the Celestial Senate are currently working on writing a collab statement about this whole situation. [. . .] Just know that we are working on it, and our silence doesnât mean we are hiding.â Due to the fact that that we have seen how blatantly the Celestial Senate will lie and misdirect even with proof in front of them, it would be best to take anything they say with a fair amount of salt.
However, not all of the members of the Celestial Senate were in on the âspy ringâ, and it is entirely possible that some were clueless of this going on behind their backs and were not involved whatsoever. Please take all of this with a grain of salt, even this very post. Use good judgement and logical thinking to decide. And remember that none of this is an excuse to harass any of the users involved.
We would like the Celestial Senate to step down. The current leaders have lost the trust of not only Arcane but other Flights. In order to rebuild that trust, I and others feel that this is one of the necessary steps in reforming how Dominance is handled in Arcane. We would like to begin negotiating a shift of leadership starting at the end of the push.
The second step would be to release the threads and hand over control to other users. They will not be mentioned by name at the time of writing, as some of them are worried that the dom raffle results may be rigged due to association with the drama. We do not know that they will do that but the users wish to err on the side of caution. Several users have different skillsets that they are able to offer in order to step into the roles that the old leaders will be leaving behind, such as Management, Graphic Design, Dominance, and Public Relations.
As mentioned before, there is a good possibility that not all of the Senate was a part of this. Creating a blanket of blame would be unfair to the users that had no idea about this, and as such we want to give Senate users the opportunity to prove their innocence. Just as some have unfairly blanket-blamed the entire flight for this fiasco, many are blanket-blaming the entire Senate. Those who are innocent should come forward and say so, and we will give all, even the guilty, the chance of redemption.
We are still heavily in the planning stages, and we are looking for volunteers, however, these are the main points on what we hope to accomplish. And so, we therefore propose a new leadership: the Cosmic Council.
What we mean by this is that we do not get information from other flights about Dominance that is not already publicly accessible to all flights and not just their own (such as on Dom Watch in Flight Rising Discussion or if a user posts it in public venue such as DramaRising) and we only want the information of when a flight is pushing, not their internal tactics. Multiaccounting and/or hacking will not be tolerated, however a user is free to share information willingly divulged from an out of flight member. Again, information of their tactics is not acceptable, only time-frames.
One of the problems with the Celestial Senate, before the drama, was that it was who did what and when. As well, it was a feat in of itself to find out who was on the Senate without going through multiple channels (and maybe even some on Slack).
We will be open, honest, and clear about our membership and availability. We will be open and honest about what resources (human, dragon, item, and currency) are available for dominance use. We will encourage each other and the Arcane Flight at large to hold us accountable for our actions, choices, and promises.
Accessibility to Dom information Flight-wide
Users need to be able to find information on Dominance and be able to put in their two cents without having to go through off-site channels such as Skype and/or Slack. While the two are great means of instant communication it is important for those who are not able to use them.
Accessibility to Leadership
A stickied thread so that users can post their concerns would allow for greater communication between the Leadership and Arcane users at large, and prevent miscommunication of intent.
Leadership should be organized so that all those who wish to step up and help with organizing Arcane will have that opportunity. Various positions will be open for election, though the actual logistics of positions and term limits are yet to be decided, and we are open to advice and suggestions. Leadership shall be decided via polling: using Google Forms to vote for your candidate to prevent multi-accounting. If anyone is found voting unfairly, they will be punished severely.
Transparency Outside Arcane
We vow to make our ethics, our membership, and our plans that influence other flights available to all others who wish to view it. Private in-flight information will remain private, of course, but of those items that concern others, such as dom battles or conquest dates, will be publicly available. The membership of our leadership structure will also be fully available, as will be our goals and ethics.
