Arcanum is a private steampunk arcana site set in a fictional universe of our own creation. Society is divided into castes based on the magic one is assigned upon their coming of age. There is no such thing as breaking through the glass ceiling when everyone is kept in their neatly defined boxes. Magic and technology collide in the city of Aai o Vai where the Oracles, overseers of the continent of Nimbosus, maintain peace and prosperity for the land…and for those they deem fit for it. Political intrigue, secrets, whispers of unrest, and exposing evildoers are all the sorts of things you’ll find here!

THE ANCIENT HOUSE OF ZALA

The House of Zala was one of the oldest and smallest wizarding bodies in Great Britain. They were known for nurturing those that were deemed weak and giving them the power to fight back against their tormentors. They are also synonymous with their painted black fingertips, a symbol of the shadows that they embraced. The members of Zala were commonly sorted into Hufflepuff or Slytherin house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
