“You’re pretty silly, you know that?” Leon chuckled to himself. Protecting the weak? She hasn’t noticed yet has she? “Hime, you already protect people plenty. You do it in a whole different way than I do though. You protect their hopes. Their dreams. As the chosen of Arceus you’re already doing a pretty damn good job.” Even if said God has been pissing him off a bit lately. “Besides, there’s no need to have you dirty your hands.”
‘Like I do.’
Ah. She looked sad. Hmm. She really did want to go to school… become a teacher… be normal. He couldn’t thoughtlessly say he understood how she felt because he had that freedom. She didn’t. But you know, sometimes Leon didn’t like rules. “Well…” He approached Hina slowly, signalling her to come close. “What if…” He lowered his voice down to a whisper. “…I kidnap you, eh?” And he was totally serious about this too.
Whooosh it went passed Hina. She thought it was a joke. After all, he had just said that she was doing good work here. It would be silly to take her away from the place where she was most effective! And it wasn’t as if she could be replaced.
“ Who would pray to Arceus, or dance in the ceremonies? “ She asked, laughing softly as she thought he was telling a funny joke. “ The role I play may be small compared to that played by Arceus, but you’re right... I do a lot of good here. Even if I suffer on occasion, and have to give up on my dream, I think the benefit far outweighs the cost. Not many people are blessed enough to see the effect of their work so plainly.. “
