Announcement

As you all read that Jayce is no longer a Jack Noir. Meaning that he becomes his own character in a way to make it safe he’s somewhat an OC, for three years of developing his character. He’ll no longer be a part of Homestuck anymore. Which means what you might have guessed it.

I’m planning to move blogs to where he can become more original. I don’t plan on giving up this URL since it would be a waste to give it away. If you still want to continue following Jayce, I’ll be moving over to @jayce-nir 

It’s only a temporary URL until I come up with a new one. Thank you to everyone who continued to stay. I hope to plan more future events for him in the meantime.

Anyways, this happens to be a distant future of him where he’s older and wiser nonother the less. No longer works at Derse anymore and lives in a home to spend more time with his daughter.

And yes this is just an excuse to make Jayce into a “what if” he were in an original character. Because I suck at originality. Jazz hands.

Either way, he gets his eye back somehow. Can’t tell any further because it would be a massive spoiler alert.

“The hell happen to you?” He crouched down at the pile of goo and tried to poke it with his index finger. “You look like you’re about to fall apart anytime soon,” He assumed that it must be Gaster. Or what’s left of him, he wasn’t sure if it could even hear him or not.

The puddle of goo doesn’t give much of a response. It doesn’t speak, doesn’t try to attack. Instead, a small tendril tries to form after it was poked, as if trying to poke them back. But the tendril falls back into the puddle of goo before it could poke anything.

Jayce got a response back from the strange like goo. Or at least he thought it was, a sign was left out from him. Standing up; he tries to see if he could find of any use to scoop him back up. “Can’t believe I’m doing this.” He grumbled. “Hold on, I’m going to grab something that can make you still in one place.” As if it was going anywhere. He couldn’t believe himself thinking to even help the doctor. Let alone like Gaster.

Mel begins to twirl bits of her hair around her fingers, the curls becoming ever curlier. Her brain feels like it’s in a million different places at once, and she doesn’t know what to think or feel. It’s a tornado within her.

“I knew he wouldn’t love me back. He never will, and I guess… I guess I’m fine with that. I just don’t like it when he tries to tell me how I’m feeling, you know? I know what I’m feeling.”

“Sounds to me he’s a real piece of work, or just acting like a complete dodo brain.” A sigh left his lips, Jayce wasn’t the type to deal when it comes to romantic problems. But from what her case is, she’s dealing with a lot of mixed emotions right now.

“Love can be a bitch.” He quotes. “And he can’t tell you shit, he may act like a know it all–but he’s sure is dense as fuck sometimes. You’re young you know that? I ain’t gonna tell you shit because you have the right to feel whatever your heart tells you. No one else gets to make these decisions but you and you alone.”

“I mean, you’re right. You’re absolutely right. It’s just, like…”

“Like, I’m a catch, aren’t I? A real dish. I’m cute. He even said it! Like, almost. Said I wasn’t ugly, and that’s a huge thing for him.”

That was sort of what Gaster had said. Mel had been pestering him on his opinion of her appearance, and he had essentially told her that among humans, she was one of the few that didn’t make him want to puke.

“…Why did I fall for this asshole.”

Another sign escapes him; he doesn’t blame her for feeling this way. Usually, one would exploit them for falling for the wrong person and question why they do so. But not Jayce, if anyone. He was one who understand what she’s going through. “It’s not your fault.”

He assured Melodi; more then twice now. “He’s probably too blind even see such a sweet girl like you falling for that prick. Despite all the awful shit he says and does, you still care for him don’t you? Which, I can’t blame you for.” He could almost laugh if he could. “Hell, if you ask me. He should consider himself lucky to have someone who gives an actual fuck about him, not many people are like that.”

"I heard it was someone's birthday today. Hope you don't mind if I brought in some ice cream cake for a significant child," Jayce said with a goofy grin, bringing a box load of chocolate cake ice cream. "I hope you like it."

“so much… sweet….” Eight doesn’t know what to do with it all.

“Yeah, don’t get too overexcited.” He opens the box and takes a slice out of it. “Dig in, it’s my treat.”

“[I ACTUALLY DO NOT HAVE A NEED FOR ANY FORM OF NOURISHMENT SINCE DYING, BUT IT WOULD BE RUDE OF ME TO REFUSE.]” That was announced rather bluntly. Perhaps he’s just used to it.

Spaghetti? Oh, what a familiar dish. “[ESPECIALLY AFTER QUITE LITERALLY APPEARING IN YOUR HOME, IT WOULD BE RUDE OF ME TO NOT GET TO KNOW YOU.]”

“Makes sense.” He taps on his chin lightly, lost in thought. Oh well, he was going to serve him either way or not. “At least to get a fresh start, I did feel bad about it. So. I gotta make it up to you, somehow.” He showed a wide smile and soon as the pot was done.

Jayce took it and poured it into the pasta pot. Letting the hot water down into the drain, he waits for it to cool. Until it was ready and he grabs both plates for him and Gaster. “Dig in, it should be ready.”

“[AN APOLOGY IS ALL I WANTED. THANK YOU.]” He stands back up straight. “[PLEASE, I WOULD NEVER THINK OF HARMING ANYONE FOR NO REASON. I AM JUST GLAD TO SEE YOUR ACTIONS WERE NOT DONE WITH ILL INTENT.]”

“Oh, thank god.” He sighs in relief, crouching down to pet Bertram to assure him the stranger was no threat, He started to calm down as he wags his little fluffy tail. “Uh, you hungry? Not sure if you eat or not. But I am making spaghetti for dinner, it’s the least I can do to make it up to you.”

Gaster moves closer to Jayce, his tendrils dragging him across the carpet.

“[OH, IT IS QUITE ALRIGHT, BUT I AM SO GLAD YOU SEE NOW JUST WHO YOU STEPPED ON.]” He may still be a little upset about that, especially since Jayce got a little smart over it before.

Jayce gave a slight shudder. Taking a step back, Bertram continued to growl behind him with a small whine. “Look, I’m sorry for stepping on you. I get that you’re upset.” He breathes as anxiety came up. “Hey, easy now. I don’t want any trouble here.”

His eye sockets narrow, recognizing Jayce.

“[AH YES, YOU ONCE CARELESSLY STEPPED ON ME. I AM DOCTOR W. D. GASTER. DO YOU BY CHANCE RECALL?]”

It took him a minute to register. Before realizing it was the same guy he accidentally stepped on.

“Oh shit.” He muttered. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know who you were at first. It wasn’t intentional it’s just–fuck, I wasn’t watching where I was going.”

Rather awkwardly, it seems Gaster had appeared right inside the Dersite’s house. He looks around, getting his bearings.

“[OH MY, HOW EMBARRASSING OF ME.]”

Bertram bark at the intruder as Jayce turned around towards the source. He let out a gasp and dropped his spoon, staring at Gaster with wide eyes, “Holy shit.” He breathed. “Who are you!?”

Despite being a regular size now, Gaster has refrained from venturing out too much into the multiverse. Today, he’s decided to change that.

He fades into reality, unsure of where he may be. It’s become almost a game to him, to allow himself to be brought to a random location in the multiverse. He rather often finds interesting things by doing so.

While gaster ventures out the multiverse. He discovers a house of a small Dersite living in residence and tending a home cook meal.

He wasn’t aware that there was someone in here. Busy watching the pot and making spaghetti until a small yelp was heard. “Hey, Bertram. Something wrong boy?”

Asks only appear to not go through when there is only one character. I sent myself ‘this is a test’ with each word in a new ask.

Tumblr may still be eating asks like it always has, but it is probably not as bad as we think. Just make sure your asks are more than a character long!
