i think the disconnect comes in the form of people equating their natural nerves to living with actual chronic diagnosed anxiety. they think you can just pull it together and that you just choose not to so they get on their high horse abt it ig that makes them feel good ego wise. but for them its just an inconvenient feeling they can often manage. not an entire haywire nervous system response. anyone who has to do daily things with the stress level of a literal hunted animal and still gives it a go is kinda mentally fortified as fuck
