Veronica noticed she went into business mode immediately, something she’s always done when she was passionate about something. She glanced over watching Archie as he took his jacket off letting her eyes wander over his toned figure before looking away to the other side of the room. “Of course Arch.. I would do anything to help and protect you from my fathers reckless behavior,” Veronica explained with a soft smile on her lips as she looked back over at him. “Living here would definitely give him a reason to shut it down, it’s not technically liveable because you don’t have a kitchen or the right permits in order for it to be liveable,” she paused in thought trying to figure out what else they could do. “There has to be an apartment building we could flip and get the permits approved, just have to find a silent partner that would let us use their name on the papers to get the permit approved without my dad meddling then we could get those kids a safe place to stay with locks on the door.”
“your dad seems to have only gotten more bold since we left. but i think if you and i put our heads together we can protect not only ourselves, but others from hiram. it won’t be the first time we’ve had to.” sitting on a counter, his head nodded as he still looked around, seeing boxes that had been there when he left. damnit, maddog. “shit, you’re right. i just feel bad for these kids. i mean, i can always find some place or, i dunno, figure it out but clearly theres a lot of people in need. riverdale is dying and that’s the last thing in this world i’m going to let happen.” seeing his fathers photo on the wall, he took it down to stare at for a moment or two and dusted it off with a blow of his breath and his hand, then put it back in it’s spot. “andrews construction.” the words fell from archie’s lips with ease as he looked at her and stepped closer. “mr. keller, i can get in touch with him and some of the guys that my dad employed. i know i have his book somewhere with all their names and numbers, but they can....or well i can technically be the silent partner.” raised brows showed a face that was filled with hope as silent pleas were falling from his eyes, hoping that would work. “there’s still...money, in the company. to pay them, i mean, so it can all be done without your dad figuring out anything.”
