The shallows of thulusdhoo are thriving with life. Small reef fish were abundant, sheltering within the crevices of the coastal rock formations. Small corals were also observed in the area, possibly having established themselves after being carried in and deposited onto the rocks by incoming ocean waves and tidal movements.

Some of the fish observed were,

Six bar wrasse

Moorish idol

Butterfly fish

Yellow goat fish

IndoPacific sergeant fish

Sapphire Damselfish

Powder Blue Tang

Convict Tang

Speckles of light filtering through the space made it magical + home for beautiful reef fishes. I didn’t want to leave!
