Okay, but, can we talk about the conversation they’re clearly not having out loud? Because, are we honestly going to believe Mycroft didn’t know the punch had been drugged? Why else would bring up the punch, specifically the fact that there was something in it? Mycroft isn’t saying, “Despite my self-proclaimed hatred of Christmas, I’m indulging in the Christmas spirit.” He’s saying, “I know the punch is drugged, Sherlock. Why punch drugged?” And Sherlock isn’t saying, “If punch makes you tolerable on Christmas, go and get more.” He’s saying “Yes, the punch is drugged. But don’t worry, I have a plan.”
