I hope beautiful things happen to you, and when they do, I hope you welcome them without doubt, knowing you deserve every single one ♡
Got so much more happiness and hope in life after remembering condos exist and buying a million dollar house or spending 2k a month to rent a shoebox for the rest of my life are not my only options to move out someday.
(Turns out condos are still at a price point that the average person could realistically afford on one income even in my million dollars to live in a shack city).
Some advice on how to write a journal as if I am talking to my Heavenly Father?
Honestly my only real advice is not to overthink it. Think about it as if you’re writing a letter to your dad. You can even address it as if it’s a letter at the top like how some people write ‘dear diary’ if you want. It doesn’t have to be fancy, God is our father, and it’s okay to talk to him as exactly that. Just write little updates about your life that you want to thank him for/let him know about (I know God knows all, but you get the idea), and add some things you’re praying for the same way you’d tell your dad about things you’re hoping for.
I hate when somebody calls classic Disney princesses weak and bad role models for little girls just because they fell in love.
Classic Disney princesses are women who escaped abusive households. They are the characters millions of little girls look up to with hope that someday somebody will love them for who they truly are, and a reminder that you can still be kind even when your environment is cruel.
Everyone always wants to talk about “oh they’re so dependant on men, they teach little girls to be oppressed”. No, they don’t.
They teach little girls trapped in abusive homes that someday somebody will love them, that they don’t have to change themself for that to happen, and that they don’t have to be cruel just because those around them are.
What are some ways you make your life more whimsical? 🫶🏻💌
Ooooo I’ve got a list!!
• Wearing glitter!!! I have three different forms of glitter (spray on, in body spray, and body glitter) I also wear glittery eyeshadow!! All of the glitter
• Making playlists for everything (Disney songs to feel like I’m in a fairytale, 2010s pop music cause nothing will make you happier, a bedtime playlist of lullabies)
• Using a star projector as a nightlight
• Going to farms to pick my own fruit (apples, strawberries, whatever your local farms will let you do)
• Collecting nostalgic things
• Dressing in the style my childhood self dreamed of
• Taking a plushy everywhere so they can participate in things and see the world too
• Never putting an age limit on fun activities (watching kids shows/movies, playing with toys, drawing with chalk, colourful jewelry)
• Decorating everything with keychains, pins, stickers, etc
• BUBBLE BATHS!!!!!! With duckies, specifically, there must be duckies
• Keeping a list of things that bring me joy
• Wearing signature jewelry (I have a locket & ring I never leave the house without), I also keep my daily jewelry in a cute little ceramic basket with flowers on it
• Wearing cute underwear that matches my outfit even if no one will see it
Easter basket haul!! My mom finally stopped trying to convince us that there’s such a thing as being “too old” for Easter baskets.

Do you have a favorite Saint?

Hihi!! Thank you! 💝 My favourite saint is Mary Magdalene. She’s the patron saint of repentant sinners and the patron saint of those who struggle with sexual temptation.
Neither of which are things I’ve talked about on this account before, but while I was baptized as a baby and went to Catholic school.. I never really believed until I was around 17 when I did something that the guilt from it drove me to confession for the first time since my first communion. Then I slowly started to rethink my beliefs, eventually ending up here.
And I am mildly embarrassed to admit this here, but for the sake of honesty… I used to do porn. Sort of. Not like professionally. But I had nsfw accounts on multiple social media platforms and sold stuff, so I’m not sure what else to call that.
I have since deleted that stuff though!!

I went looking on TikTok for cute apps to track studying so I’ll actually know how much time I spend studying German… Half the videos are just “download ChatGPT!!” Or “download this other AI app!!”
NO.
That’s not even a study app. That’s just cheating with incorrect information. People can’t even cheat properly anymore.
I love seeing my progress in German. I am 100% self taught in German, so even though I don’t know much.. I get very excited when I can write things without needing a translator for anything. I just think it’s so cool that I taught myself that. No matter how simple or hard something is, I taught myself it. That’s so cool.
Just discovered there’s people who make vlogs specifically targeted at language learners. Probably common knowledge in the language learning world but I’ve been learning French since I was 9, and German since I was 14, and I’ve never come across this concept before.
Probably part of why I still can’t speak German. I really need to do more research on study methods.
