why does everyone hate jared? i can’t find any info anywhere. all the posts say they won’t discuss it on the site. i’m kind of new to the fandom.

Basic answer: jealousy. They want Castiel/Misha to have what Jared/Sam have. That’s pretty much all it boils down to, which is pretty sad.

I have to be honest with you. I love that you've made this blog to call out the bullshit of this part of the fandom, even though I hate that this blog has to exist at all. I also wanted to tell you that, as a die hard Jared fan, I would absolutely follow your blog and champion it in a heartbeat. However, because of my mental health, I can't handle reading all of this negativity about someone I love so dearly. I scrolled for a while and I just can't do it, even though I feel bad. Much love 💙

Oof, that’s such a mood. I feel you on that one, anon. When I started this I did it out of spite, and now I’m just tired, for a variety of reasons, so I haven’t been as active. Hey, I just wanted to say I love your blog. I’ve seen so much Jared hate over years and I seriously just don’t understand it. Most of it is just people being oversensitive or not getting the meaning of a joke. Thank you for not being one of those Jared-hating jerks ;)

Thank you! I don’t understand it either. The oversensitivity is part of it, but I’m positive the main reason for the hate is jealousy and insecurity in their ship(s). They want Misha to be Jensen’s BFF, they was Castiel to have Sam’s importance. And it keeps being turned around on them so much that they resorted to hating on him instead of just enjoying their fanfiction.

It was a joke, he knew it was a joke. I made a point of using a very obvious joking tone. I made a reference to his panel where they had a running joke of him ‘not being funny’

Telling someone that they are ‘not funny’ is hardly ‘mean.’ If anything.

I didn’t tell him I didn’t like him, heck I make a point of reaffirming that no matter whether he is ‘funny’ or not I do love him. Plus his shocked expression was more about me calling him ‘Jasmine’ than the whole funny thing. People seem to forget about that, the first thing I did when I stood in front of him was call him ‘Jasmine.’ I am pretty sure that after that he knew that whatever followed was meant to be a joke.

You call this ‘hate’? How about the people that gather around other parts of the internet saying that Misha should be fired and that they want to actually physically harm him. How can you call me telling Jared in a clearly joking manner that he is ‘not very funny, but I love him anyway.’ HATE?

I’m pretty sure I read him well enough. I wonder how you, a complete stranger who was not there, would know better than me what the actual tone of the interaction was.

I made a joke that was referencing a joke Jensen made during the panel. So if you think that saying or implying that Jared is not funny means that I hate him I guess Jensen hates him too. Think on that one for a moment. There is no way that is true, you know why? Because it’s a fucking joke.

I don’t sit around to wait and see if anybody messages people and if they respond. Especially considering how old this post is. I have a life, you know. I share what’s shared with me. IF it seems to be bad enough to qualify as “hate”.

There’s already a blog for whatever grievances people find about Misha. Go whine to them.

People can say whatever they want in a clearly joking manner, that doesn’t make it not rude. People can also think they know a person well enough, doesn’t mean you actually do. You actually talk about how your own friend who was there with you said it was rude and not to do it, but you come crying to me about I’M immature and how “its just a joke”? Go through this blog and see how many times people ise that excuse to ignore the hate he gets.

Moral of the story: it was rude. And you can whine at me to grow up, but take a look at the little hissy fit you just threw instead of CALMY coming to me to talk about it.
