FABRICATION PROCESS - DETAILS
Conversation with Daniel Norell - Framing the Project
ARCHITECTURE RATHER THAN ART
Is the project dealing with adding architectural elements to an existing building? Is it about a new technique to repair an old building? Or is it something else? The architectural theme helps define the exhibition as architecture rather than art. The thoughts of architecture, traces and time are relevant in this discussion.
DESIGN
Each line drawn should relate to its existing background despite its different geometry. If the line for instance is rescaled it should more or less follow the scaling in the decayed traces on the wall.
EXHIBITION
It is a good idea to make a brochure / posters that explains the idea of each piece. A brochure (200-400 words) can for instance include architectural references as picture and a short text about each piece. The process could also be documented in the brochure / poster.
Think about the terminology used to refer to each piece
Give each piece a name.
Think about a title for the whole exhibition.
