Three years follow the end of Voldemort but a new darkness dawns and new threats arise. The new group, the redeemers, emerges and is just as ruthless as their predecessor lord. The Order and Dumbledore's Army merges into the New Order to seek the end of tyranny for good, opposing the fear implemented in the community. The death eaters remain in the proximity of the community, either helping the Order and Ministry while some slip into the shadows to continue their chaos. june 2002 There have been faint whispers in the community about what will happen next. After the memorial service of Kingsley, a decorated veteran of two wizarding wars, he was laid to rest, but little peace came. With him being dethroned from his position, people question the Ministry authority and if there should be one. Slowly, days turned into weeks which turned into months with little questions being answered. Blackwood has been seen and looked at as a possible candidate for the holding office but there are still a lot of questions that remain. 

Following the bank, there were some witnesses who saw the Redeemers and tried to make connections out of smoke. With Blackwood being more in the light than in the shadows, his reputation is put on a pedestal for others. The Redeemers operate as always, hooded figures drawn but tighter, in the shadows but hiding beside the corner. Their leader has all but abandoned them for political ambition. What they don’t know is that perhaps it is for the greater good. 

The New Order swallows the hurt and respects those who couldn’t be seated at the table. They become more meticulous and silent as they weigh the options. The only thing they must focus on is the real threat: the Redeemers were underestimated but now they wait for any answer.

Following the death of many, the whole wizarding community felt a silence together on all sides. There were the ones who didn’t deserve it such as Ernie Macmilian, the ones who would have a cover story for why they died such as Lucius Malfoy and Gabriel Travers. Then there are others, such as Kingsley and Sarah Shacklebolt that are felt immensely. There are several memorials planned around each person to remember them by. The Ministry not only lost a good man but also the Minister of Magic himself. Many are sent into a spiral of questions about what this means and there is barely a whisper of a reply. The Ministry has planned a public memorial for the Minister but some who attend are deeply interested in paying respects, but some are more keen on what happens now.

The New Order met at Grimmauld, trying to find solace with an empty chair at the end of the table. They had lost the Minister of Magic as well as their leader. Alastor Moody began shuffling orders and plans around, much more aggressively than his predecessor. Some are hesitant to trust a new person but others know that Moody means well and is a man of action. They know they are vulnerable and that’s when the Redeemers might strike again or perhaps they won’t do a victory lap and will bask in their glorious win.

The Redeemers are joyous in their success, thinking that with a Time Turner, the Elder Wand, and having killed the most powerful man in the wizarding world is enough to lighten their mood. Even Blackwood is proud but knows that they left a mess at the bank. People are still talking about what happened and knows they are being watched closer. There is no room for accidents anymore.

The Ministry memorial service for Kingsley Shacklebolt will be held in the Ministry atrium. Anyone is welcome to come whether it is due to curiosity or genuine mourning. There will be a service where people may some words for Kingsley and there will be a gathering afterwards for more conversations to be held more inclusively.

LOGISTICS: Your characters are free to attend anything for any of the recent deaths. You don’t have to go to any of them and can plot around it as we’re sure these events are felt throughout the community as there isn’t a new Minister of Magic yet. Please stay within a week or two after the last event which was February 14th. There will be a time jump after this event is over.

A group of Redeemers entered Gringotts Bank with the hope of earning the goblins alliance as they had with the trolls in the earlier months. When they encountered a discourse, a sense of panic led to utter chaos. In mere moments, persons closest to the dark group were taken down to the vaults and a barrier was placed on the bank to exclude anyone from entering. Those who were taken down included Ernie Macmilian, Anthony Goldstein, Daphne Greengrass, Pansy Parkinson, Gregory Goyle, and Angelina Johnson. All had been minding their business before they spent the next few hours as hostages. 

A great sense of urgency was emitted from the Ministry, Aurors, and later the New Order. Curse breakers and Aurors alike attempted to remove the barrier but it seemed to only grow with every trial. The New Order enlisted a volunteer group to enter the bank and save whoever was taken, not knowing that some were their own. Members Bill Weasley, Susan Bones, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and George Weasley apparated to the bank, being able to surpass the trouble outside with research cumulated by Hermione Granger and Lisa Turpin.

Meanwhile, trouble was already brewing inside with Redeemers taking the time to question each person taken. Macmillian had been questioned first and after a hard conversation between him and Irene Rosier, Ernie was hit with the killing curse and his eyes glazed over with death. Others were questioned and followed suit, not experiencing the same fate as Ernie but some most likely will be haunted from the memory alone. 

From inside the vaults, Redeemers and those in the hostage vault could hear a kerfuffle from outside. Almost immediately, New Orders and Redeemers clashed, spells flying in each direction. Redeemer guard Wade Avery could feel the weight of the situation and released the hostages to escape. A fight was not won without some loses. Redeemer members Gabriel Travers and Lucius Malfoy were killed in battle and the New Order left with the body of Ernie Macmillian. 

As though the night couldn’t get worse, Kingsley and Sarah Shacklebolt were sitting down for dinner when a masked Callum Blackwood entered the house. When Kinglsey didn’t answer the Ministry owls or answer the floo network, aurors were sent to the house and discovered an unpredicted scene. There, Kingsley and his wife lay on the floor still and unmoving. News began to spread at the same time as news from the bank. The New Order received the news from Harry Potter and Arthur Weasley and a stillness of disbelief fell over the room. 

Behind the endless incidents of the long night, Martin Blackwood smiles at home in his manor as he receives the news himself. Not only did he defeat the leader of the New Order, but the Minister of Magic seat is now in his reach.
