they’re all a bunch of lords and ladies who were born with the world in their hands, and she’s a half breed that will murder her way to the top. except there’s a problem with that, of course. at home’s she’s a SOFT child, a SCARED one too. who will give the world to the first beauty to show her kindness. because in this story, her story, you know how we said she’s not the hero but she’s not the villain? that’s because she’s the BEAST. and to so many they thing her the BEAUTY, pretty and perfect and precious. a lovely little doll her to save the day. but she’s never been very good at being belle. or being feyre. or being whoever the BEAUTY is today. in a way she does suppose it’s true. she’s a pretty girl, a pretty thing, who one day will have it all. or so she plans. but that’s never the full story. some days, though, the crowds see her as the VENGEFUL WITCH, the mara or the sorceress. a lady who cursed you all to hell, who would curse you all to hell, because she’s that sort of woman. and while it’s not true, she’s not that cruel, in so many ways she is, she’s pretty and cruel and MEAN AS HELL, and she’s ready to curse you all to save herself. at the end of the day, she thinks she just might be some sort of beauty-beast though. VICIOUS and PERFECT on the outside. a smiling good person, but something there to tell you that she would tear your throat out, and on the inside? someone more dangerous than that. because she won’t tear your throat out. she’ll toss you to the beasts if that’s where she thinks you belong.

Spends every Saturday playing quidditch, brings her homework to the Three Broomsticks on Hogsmeade weekends and hands it in covered in butterbeer, insists on applying to muggle universities ‘just in case’ despite getting 8 O.W.L.s, levitates her cat onto Hugo’s head when he’s feeling down just to get him to smile, meets up with Scorpius on the edge of the black lake to give him advice on how to ask out Albus, gets exasperated sighs from Professor McGonagall when she’s given a detention for talking back to a professor, manages to splinch open her shoes during her first apparition test, reads a lot when she’s at school but abandons all of her assignments and books for Netflix at home, argues with her mother about why divination is a perfectly valid N.E.W.T to take, advocates that more students should embrace muggle inventions even if they’re pure blood, starts up S.P.E.W again in her third year although most people still believe that house elves shouldn’t be freed.

“during her second year, rose was chosen as the new chaser of the gryffindor quidditch team, with headmistress minerva mcgonagall happily announcing it to all the school and calling rose the “gryffindor’s superb new chaser.” according to scorpius and like her mother before her, rose was also a brilliant student.”
Scorpius furrowed his brow, shooting her a concerned look, unsure if she was joking or being serious. He didn’t think hearing voices was good, and he went ahead with vocalizing that. “If you’re hearing your cousins in your head you should probably get that checked out. Doesn’t sound very healthy,” he mused, running a hand through his blond hair. “Can’t you just hole up in your room, lock the door and cast a silencing charm to get away from it all?”
“ don’t be blunt scorpius. legilimency. ” rose ROLLED her eyes and crossed her arms. she was S U R E that he should’ve known this. wouldn’t she have told him ?? and if SHE didn’t, wouldn’t albus have complained about her with it ?? she, after all, was liberal with her use of it most days. “ it’s N O R M A L. well... normal-ish. it’s within the realm of possibility ?? UNFORTUNATELY it’s with in the realm of, O U C H !! i can’t turn the GODDAMNED thing off !! so i’m stuck hearing two conversations at ONCE. it’s a pain. in the ass. “
“ Oh, sorry, ” Lena smiled, letting go as soon as she heard the other’s voice. “ Merlin, I wish I had a bunch of family here. Most of my family is either at Beauxbatons or Castelobruxo. ” She gratefully accepted the other girl’s hand however, glad she hadn’t been frightened or shocked by the girl’s SUDDEN tackle hug. She smiled at the nickname, a short laughing escaping. “ And I’m Magdalena Dourado, previously from Castelobruxo but I’m studying Mutatio now. I like candy floss though, totally adds to my pixie vibes. All I need now are some wings. ”
“ you do not look like a magdalena. we’re going to stick with CANDY FLOSS. ” rose laughed, crossing her arms and letting the edges of her eyes crinkle upwards, before frowning quickly and shaking her head. “ and no you DON’T. i A S S U R E you it’s more hassle than it is reward. it’s like coming with a built in buddy system.” rose gives another brightly coloured laugh and wrinkles her nose at the THOUGHT of her family. “ casteobruxo. south america right ?? how different is the schooling there than here ?? ”
Scorpius stifled a laugh when he heard Rose’s words. He’d heard similar grumbling from Albus on many occasions. He had assumed the Weasley-Potter clan must’ve eventually gotten used to having a full house, but the more time went on, the more it seemed they all still got overwhelmed by it sometimes. “Can’t say I relate. Malfoy Manor is pretty quiet most days,” he admitted. It was just him, his dad and a giant empty house. He couldn’t decide if the days his grandparents visited were better or worse.
“ god. how i would REVEAL in the quiet. at least i wouldn’t have to listen to the complaints of literally everyone all the time. ” rose groaned, half burying her head in her hands, and running her hands slightly through her hair. her eyes are closed once more, and she POPS up one eye to glance at the blonde boy. “ you know, it’s worse when you can hear them both in your head and out loud. like.. Y E S H. i get it. you’re pissed off. but i have a raging headache ?? i don’t need Y O U R complaints about your raging headache on top of my own. “
