So here’s what I learned from how you responded to my question.

When asking people if they thought I was TMA/TME based purely on knowing I’m nonbinary, the overwhelming response was TME. But the justification as for why is very telling.

The most common reason cited was that they perceived my actions as “bitchy” and therefore had to be TME. The second most common reason was that I did this in the first place. The idea that simply poking a hole in this binary immediately means you are part of the out group.

So let me put this evidence to a conclusion. Regardless of the intent of TMA/TME language, the result is that it is used to exclude and minimize the voices of trans people who do not agree with radfem ideology.

If you use Transmisogony to mean the intersection between transphobia and misogyny, then I am. Nonbinary people are trans, and under a patriarchy, everyone is affected in some way by misogyny.

If you use Transmisogony to mean transphobia targeted towards trans women, then I am not, because I am nonbinary.
