Mexico: UFOs of the 1960s By Scott Corrales [Excerpt from “Forbidden Mexico”, Institute of Hispanic Ufology Press, 1999] In spite of the considerable number of UFO sightings during this time period, it wasn’t until the following decade that the UFO phenomenon would add itself to the other events which stirred the national consciousness, such as increased political radicalism among the young, the massacre of innocents at Tlatelolco in 1968 and the troubled ‘68 Olympics – events which mirrored similar developments in France and in the United States. One of the most impressive photographs of a UFO during this period was the 1965 snapshot taken by Juan David Mateos. According to the photographer’s testimony, he was driving along the road from Villa Ahumada to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, when he saw a dark, oval shaped craft approaching at an altitude of less than twenty meters and a distance of only sixty meters. Mateos stopped the car and clicked away at the unknown object, earning himself a place in saucer history.

8 Famous Ghost Photographs From History That Are Still Spooky Today

There’s something about a good ghost photograph — particularly ghost photographs from history — that I find phenomenally weird-looking. They’re just sort of… uncomfortable to look at. Maybe it has something to do with the stories behind them (because after all, a picture is worth a thousand words). Maybe it’s about the possibility of knowing there could be something around you that you can’t see with the naked eye. Or maybe it’s just the wrongness of the whole thing. But even knowing what we know about spirit photography today, there’s no denying that many ghost photos taken years, decades, or even centuries ago remain spooky even now.

These days, of course, it’s easier than ever to fake a ghost photo; all it takes is a digital camera, some editing tools available for free on the internet, and a few clicks of a mouse to make it look as though a spirit has been captured in a photographic image. But even so, ghost photos — whether they’re recent creations or from long ago — still look spooky. Sometimes, just the sight of one is enough to send a shiver down your spine. Here are some notable examples that, honestly, I still don’t really like to spend a ton of time looking at — even if I know they’re probably not real.

Cryptid of the Day:  Rimi

Description: The Rimi is said to be Tibet’s version of the Yeti, with the creature sporting black fur instead of white/red. In 1953, a man claimed to have seen mummified remains of Rimis at Racaka Monastery and an undisclosed location. So far, no one has been able to find the bodies.

Google Maps showing another amazing Ovni UFO and this one has a shadow underneath it which shows this one is in the air definitely. It has the classic Flying Disc shape down to a T. I’m sure this is a real Ovni UFO so I did a video showing the coordinates.

In 1925, Greek photographer and geologist N.A. Tombazi claimed to have seen a Yeti while he was hiking the Himalayas. Tombazi was 15,000 feet up from the base of the mountain when he claimed to have seen the creature. He said that the creature he witnessed stood upright like a human and stood out dark against the bright snow. Two hours later, Tombazi and his companions were walking back down the mountain when they came across what they believed to have been the Yeti’s footprints. He claimed the prints were “similar in shape to those of a man, but only six to seven inches long by four inches wide…. The prints were undoubtedly those of a biped.”

Monster Hunt: Legend of the Mothman Just off Main Street in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, there is a 12-foot-tall stainless steel statue that looks like a chrome mosquito, but with bat wings and human legs and an incredibly chiseled abdomen. The spot it stands in used to be called Gunn Park, but the name was changed to honor the statue and the figure it represents. Now they call it Mothman Park.

Watch: Eerie Figure Stalks Moose?

A strange piece of footage from Canada shows a moose lingering by the side of the road as what appears to be a figure of some kind stalks towards it. The eerie scene was filmed by a woman named Audree Frechette and took place in a forested area of Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula [during the last weekend of August 2018]. As is often the case with such incidents, she didn’t notice the odd interloper at the time, but later spotted it when she looked at the video.

The Haunted Stanley Hotel

in 1903 Freelan Oscar Stanley became sick with tuberculosis, and underwent his treatment of “fresh air” in Colorado’s rocky mountains. By 1907 he had recovered and the Stanley Hotel was opened in 1909 in Estes Park, Colorado. It didn’t take long for the paranormal activity to start though, in 1911 a housekeeper was struck with lightning in room 217. She survived, but since then room 217 and the rest of the hotel has become a hot spot for paranormal activity.

The two pictures above both feature ghostly apparitions taken by the hotel’s guests. The photo on the left was taken by a man named Henry on the Grand Staircase, which appears to show a figure of a woman dressed in period clothing at the top of the stairs. The photo on the right was taken by John Mausling and shows what appears to be the ghost of a young girl also on the Grand Staircase, and another figure wearing a black hat walking up the adjacent stairs, the second figure is however disputed. Other guests report doors that open and shut on their own, unexplained footsteps in the middle of the night, and the sounds of children running and laughing in the halls. Steven King wrote his book The Shining, after being inspired from a night he spent in room 217. It’s no doubt the hotel is extremely haunted, but if you don’t believe me then go ahead and stay a night. I’m sure you will change your mind.
