Now this is horse racing!
Dimitri & Fee ➢ Riding +1
"Gosh, I'm so glad you agree," she says, relieved. "Really, the title is all pomp and just circumstance! I'd rather be known as: Fee: Fierce Sky Warrior! ...Or, something like that."
It's an odd thing, to meet another noble denying formalities. Maybe this Dimitri guy isn't as stuck-up as he looks!
At his suggestion, her gaze steels resolutely. It's a solid idea; so with just a "Roger!" in response, Fee slips away into the crowd. Alone, she can move much more quickly, losing herself in the unfamiliar throng like a pegasus among the clouds, her ears open for any keywords relating to her sleuthing.

Thirty minutes pass quickly when on the hunt for information! Finally, she lets herself back to the spot where she had left her housemate. As soon as she spots the blonde boy, she immediately dives for his hand, gripping him by the arm. "I found where it's held! Come on!" Fee takes off at a jaunty pace, heading for a nearby boulangerie. How horses could fit through this door was another mystery; but, when she had chatted with the patron about wanting to hedge some bets, she'd been slipped a note with the words "stairs: risk". Obviously, it had to be a passcode!
She bounds inside the door and immediately sets off again in a new direction: the staircase leading down, hidden at the end of the counter. Really, at their pace, it's a wonder they don't collide with the surly man that blocks its entry.
A stiff "Stop!" finally eases Fee's momentum, and she stands in front of him, chin lifted defiantly. (Though clearly at their destination, she still clings tightly to Dimitri's wrist.) She does take a moment to whisper to him, though: "Don't worry, I got this." Fee can barely hold back her excitement, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
In her usual high voice, she lowers her register to sound a little unlike the princess of Silesse. One hand comes to block her mouth, and she whispers to the large man a single word. It's not as discreet as she'd like, and she's sure that Dimitri at least has heard the passcode, now; but it's no matter, as the gatekeeper silently turns to let them through. Before following, Fee shoots a delighted look at her housemate. Detective Fee has solved the case!
The main notice board was towards the entrance of the market square. As he suspected it was peppered with all manner of flyers from those highlighting a new alchemist setting up shop to a visiting group of performers. Dimitri wasn't really sure what he was looking for but had a feeling he would know when he saw it.
The time limit he'd imposed was coming to an end when he spotted it. A dog-eared poster advertising a bakery's new item 'The ring'. The picture was of a round bread ring with accompanying text stating it to be a limited item, just ask instore.
Travelling back to the meeting spot, Dimitri was pleased to be able to share the news with Fee. However as soon as he arrived, he was grabbed and dragged to the boulangerie.
"Well Fierce Sky Warrior, I see you found the same information I did." he said, slightly disappointed to be beaten to the punch. He hung back as Fee interacted with the proprietor and again with the guardsman. She'd done it and now they could enter 'The Ring'
The basement was vast and he suspected it stretched under several shops. Sandy dust covered the floor and the snorts of horses could be heard to one side.
"Where should we begin?" he asked. Personally he fancied participating in one of the races rather than being a spectator. What would his housemates say if they could see him being rebellious in this way!
There were some official looking men near the stables who possibly ran the show. They could be the people to ask.
