I have discovered this blog through [ERROR- THE ORIGINS OF DISCOVERY CANNOT BE FOUND AT THIS TIME] and I did get pretty curious about this. I love the unapologetic act of shameless positivity spreading, especially when it comes and goes and is never forced. So, image me, discovering this, sitting with this discovery... Wanting to uh... Assist as well.....
...ANYWAYS!! I am not sure at this moment how to completely interact or anything relating to this whole thing entirely just yet, but I do humor it. And I hope you humor me too... Until we both can learn more and until more is revealed.

Words and ships
Apologies for the wait. I guess I enjoyed my time with the sea a bit too much. That and my ability to keep notes straight have really gone off track. You do not know the amount of times I have accidentally left my notes and have any work be swept away or destroyed with an unlucky shower.
Anyways, I have found an extraordinary discovery! I was wandering the docks, as one does, when I came across an oddly bright boat. It did not have the same weathering as the others nor did it have the same shine. It was quite the odd sight!
I went in for a closer look only to realize that this was a ship of the written word! Every inch of it made by letters and words, lined to perfection! Though not rare, it is the first time I've seen one!
I assume this is one of the more manufactured ones as the words are more spaced out but it is very much a wonder! It lasted so long without upkeep too!
I didn't dare touch it... Okay, maybe I scraped off the tiny bit into a bottle, but not a lot! No one has returned in the time I've been here and I do enjoy gathering keepsakes!

Shirt on the boom
The time I spent not writing was instead spent on the docks. There were a multitude of ships so why not explore them?
Unfortunately, there weren't many things of note. Most of these seemed untouched, empty room following empty room. Turns out this area was more of a shipyard than a dock.
It was just a little... underwhelming. No hidden compartments, secret safes or maps. Just dusty, empty boats. I guess my hopes were a little bit too high for my first adventure. But no matter! I have plenty of other journeys waiting for me.
But my exploration was not fruitless. I did manage to find a few interesting things. The thing that sticks out the most to me is a weathered red shirt. It had been hanging from the boom of on of the sail boats, one with tall white sails and a dark blue hull that had patches of discoloration.
The shirt is more pink than red due to the exposure to the elements and whatever that had once been painted on it with gold fabric paint had cracked, warped and flaked off, only leaving a few bits hanging on for dear life as any evidence something had been on the shirt.
I didn't take it with me. I have no use for a worn shirt that barely survived the, what must be years, it spent on that ship. What I did do was hang it up in the shop. Maybe it's owner would one day return for the item.

It was quite a surprise to find your letter outside my campsite. Writing down my adventures had taken a back seat for a while as I've been a bit busy. Coupled with the fact that I do not often pay attention to the passage of time, I did not realize how long it has been since I've written. However, soon I will return to continue documenting my journey. I do not have a set date, but I know it'll be soon! There are quite a few things I would like to write about!

House at the docks
Nighttime was uneventful, I was expecting to not be able to sleep well due to the lack of familiarity but the crashing of the waves quickly lulled me into slumber.
I have managed to find a building at this dock, though there isn't much left of it. Half of it had been built on water, pillars of something sticking into the shallows. It faces the sea with a solid amount of dock in front of it to make it easy to access. At least, there used to be a walkway in front of it. A particularly bad storm must have happened as a sailboat had managed to tear through the wood planks that were weakened by time. What remained of a walkway is now just splinters of wood.
I managed to get in via a broken window, though I did manage to accidentally stab myself with one of the shards. Fortunately, I quickly treated it with a first aid kit. Though, it’s quite hard to type with an injured hand.
The building seems to be a shop of sorts, there is a multitude of shelves and display counters, surprisingly, most are moderately stocked with things like engine oil, fish bait and scuba gear. I might borrow some of the gear to explore what lays underneath these docks.
It was actually quite easy to find the counter due to the small size of the shop. The desk has ‘Jib Sailing’ carved into the front in very fancy lettering, so I assume that was the shop’s name. It had everything a shop counter would need, a cash register, a small shelf of cheap fish bait, and a calendar that’s 8 years behind. I guess, that’s bond to happen since the dock has been abandoned.
It’s quite nicely decorated, with a vase of fake flowers and a carefully set out display of sea-themed decorations.
Whether or not that display is missing a sea star or two, well, that’s only for me to know.

Docks
I have found my first interesting place, an abandoned shipyard.
Against my better judgement, I followed a dragon back to their blog. Luckily, the dragon didn't notice me and I managed to make it there, save for my shoes which were covered in ash.
I barely managed to follow a reblog to another area before the dragon noticed me. I jumped to the nearest one, tired out as I collapsed in a strange area, a new area.
It held sweet displays and words that felt nauseating to look at, many of the reblogs ended up in a circle of the same words over and over again. Then I found one that led somewhere else. The shipyard.
It was abandoned, the moss creeping into the planks of the dock and the number of barnacles growing where they shouldn't be was proof of that. There was no noise, no people, only the sound of waves crashing against the shore.
Sailboat after sailboat were lined up, varying in size, colour and pattern, but all the same shape. It was like looking into the display of a donut shop, same shape, different flavour. There were some gaps that were quickly confirmed to unlucky ships with a quick glance in the water. Masts and sometimes entire wreckages could be seen resting on the sea bed before the waters get too dark.
It's getting a little late so I will be taking refuge just outside the dock. I don't want to be stabbed by a rusty nail or a splinter as I rest. I will explore more when morning comes.

Plea
Today as I was wandering around Discover, I found a plea.
Pleas are strange things. In my corner of Tumblr, I don't see them often but when I do, well...
Pleas are very different from what you usually see. Often we find funny jokes, stories, photos and what some people call, 'crack taken seriously'. But pleas... pleas have a very different presence. They aren't alien. No, not at all. But they certainly are different.
Some are long, some are short. But all are written in the same serious tone, not a hint of jokiness under the words.
All of them are written in a language I don't understand and even when I do understand it, it references things I've never heard of.
I have tried to decode it multiple times before giving up. Languages are not my strong suit after all.
But nevertheless, something deep inside me understands. It understands if the plea is a callout, call to action, a call for help. It understands if the one who made the plea is angry or hurt, fearful or cautious, desperate or tired.
The understanding stays but the feeling of being unable to do anything comes with it.
So I spread it, I take a reblog and display it in my garden. It's not much, but maybe it'll help make it easier to find. And it might help someone who can do something, find it.

I've found it hard to travel into Discover. The fear around going somewhere unknown still lingers and something, something is preventing me from going further. I could just use the Search Bar and teleport but that's not what I'm aiming for. It isn't wandering.
After attempting to wander for a few days, I've decided to try a different technique.
As a Tumblr resident, you would know Reblogs, things you take from other Blogs but they will always have the trademark of their maker and a link to them. Sure there is sometimes a circle of reblogs that confine you to one fandom but some can lead to strange places.
I've invented a game of sorts to try to find more interesting places. I would just follow the reblogs and stop when I deem a place, 'Interesting.'
I hope this works because as much as I'm scared, I'm also excited.

Camp
I am currently setting up camp underneath a few posts in Discover, hopefully, it will give me some cover if the dragons are to return.
I haven't ventured too far in, I can still see familiar territory from where I'm sitting. I guess I'm a little afraid. I was always a traveller, not a wanderer. I knew where I was going, even if I never stuck to a single fandom.
Now that I'm not under the imminent threat of being burned to ashes and have grown accustomed to Discover, it is... fascinating! Even when I have familiarity bleeding into it, it's still wonderfully chaotic!
There are videos, s***posts, galleries of art, jokes, stories! There are people blabbering, making entire speeches over what is the best bird! There are showcases of fandoms I've never seen or at least barely treaded.
I guess the only downside of being here is that I'll be too distracted to get a wink of sleep.
