there is an enveloping moment of trust between the two— he did not easily let just anyone lay a finger upon those very cheeks of a MURDERER; lips part to mutter a word of annoyance before his vision became luminescent of the magic that flowed between her finger tips. much like water, her ability is a powerful stream and he ponders deeply how she had been gifted with it— he is much abnormal like her with a gift similar but useless in the palms of this situation.
he mutters a profanity under his breath as wound stings and the very eyes gazing into hers— as if seeking for an answer on whether to TRUST her— melt to a red color. the veil that shroud his alienating factor is gone— he is as much foreign as she is upon the soils and dirt of earth. perhaps that is what aides the bond he holds as he sits still for her ability to perform its works.

She couldn't put her finger on it, but the experience was unnerving, at the very least. She tried not to jump away once she was finished; instead rising almost purposefully slowly and extending a hand to him to get up. "Um.. so, there you go! Good as new. You really shouldn't be running in the streets at dark, you know." Laurel tried to joke, though the words tasted dull and chalky on her tongue. Probably sounded even worse out loud.
"Now..." Laurel tilted her head, studying him for a brief moment before green eyes flicked back up to meet red. "I have a couple questions, which I sincerely hope you won't mind answering." And just like that, she was all business again.
