"You took too long." Alina commented with a frown when Luca returned. She had been starting to worry, though just saying that would have been simple. When she was told about the potential stragglers, she stopped spinning the knife she held, and gave a little smile. "Done." She was all too eager to slide the knife into something. "Show me."
When they got to the hallway, she slid a hand around Luca's waist to stop her from leading the way. She pulled the woman back against her, freezing as she listened. She wasn't as great at determining certain things like Luca, so while she was still listening, herself, she was also relying on Luca to listen.
"Do not get in the way." She whispered, though what she really wanted to tell her, was to stay away from danger. She slipped into the first room off the hallway, disappointed that there wasn't anything there. The second room, however, had two of them. She took both down, gently lowering their bodies after each kill, so they didn't make any noise. The hallway was easy enough to clear, but she surprisingly didn't venture any farther. Instead, as she wiped her blade clean, she looked to Luca, almost patiently waiting for her to choose their next move.
"Your turn."
The response from Alina caused Luca to give the other another pointed look, her lips pressing together as she just lingered for a moment, but then she was shaking her head while rolling her eyes. Honestly, it was such a typical thing for her to say, so it didn't even surprise her, but it did annoy her. "I wasn't even gone that long..." she finally let out in an exasperated whisper. It was probably a good ten minutes tops, maybe even less, or just a little longer, but nothing for Alina to be this ridiculous about. Nodding in response, she didn't bother to say anything as she turned around and began to slowly head back to the hallway she had just come from.
Once there, she pointed into the direction of it, knowing she didn't need to use words and Alina would know what she meant. However, just as she was about to slowly creep down it a little, a hand was slid around her waist and she immediately froze, her head snapping into the woman's direction. "What!?" She hissed quietly as she was pulled back against her, but when she didn't get a response, she shook her head and fell silent, listening once more herself, but she knew that they were okay to venture a little further.
"Oh, but of course not. I wouldn't fucking dare," she responded to the comment about not getting in her way. Seriously, why did she even bother sticking with the other woman, she had proven time and time again just how absolutely arrogant she was. Alina may have been a good fighter, even better than her, but Luca wasn't useless, and could actually take care of herself. Even with that in mind, she decided not to argue with the other woman, and allowed her to do her thing, knowing it was probably the only thing that made her happy.
When Alina reappeared after searching the rooms in the hallway, Luca stayed silent, still slightly annoyed as she offered a tight lipped smile. Then she was moving further down the hallway coming to a t-intersection. Sighing, she let out a breath and closed her eyes once more to listen. Of course they'd get stuck in a maze like place where they could barely see anything. After hearing nothing either way, she nodded to the left, and began moving down the new area.
As they continued moving through a couple more hallways, clearing out a couple stragglers here and there - she could only hope they were nearing an exit at this point - Luca immediately moved her arm towards Alina's stomach, pushing her backwards against the wall, hoping that being quick would allow her to not struggle so much. "Wait!" she then spoke in a low but stern tone as she could have sworn she saw light flicker up ahead. Great... that's all they fucking needed right now, to run into actual other humans. "I think there's something ahead, and I don't mean the undead kind," she continued as the light once again flickered in the distance.
"I ignore most things that comes from a man." Elliott replied with a laugh, shaking her head a little. "Maybe this will be the first time in history that pick up line ever worked, though." This woman certainly had charm. She was just grateful she was so direct, because flirting still wasn't exactly something she was all that great with. It was much easier knowing for a fact someone was flirting with her, and just trying to meet their energy.
"That's a logical pipeline. So much thought process for a random pick up. Bound to make a girl feel special." She nearly choked on her drink when the woman mentioned a real date, apologizing as a flush danced along her cheeks. "A date, huh?" She took a proper sip of her drink this time, popping the cherry in her mouth. Five seconds later, out popped the stem, tied in a knot around the pit of the cherry, which she dropped back in her drink.
"I think I can accept a date. If you're serious, I mean. You've got me curious about this wedding, after all. Plus, you're incredible fun to look at."
"You and I have that in common," she replied back before grinning. "Well, lucky me then," she continued, though was still surprised that it actually did in fact work, because she knew just how horrendous it was, and she was quite positive that she, herself, probably would have laughed if it had been used on her instead.
"Surprised I can even come up with anything rarely decent to say, because I am honestly so fairly tipsy right now," she chuckled, head shaking playfully. The reaction from Elliott as she mentioned going on a date had her eyes widening slightly. "Are you good?" She questioned in concern, though when she seemed to regain some sort of composure, Benny let out a hesitant chuckle. "Uh... yes, a date?" She hadn't at all been nervous when she first asked, but with the hesitation from the other woman, the feeling started to creep up.
However, it slowly eased when she did eventually agree to one. Her face then began to scrunch up in confusion when Elliott made the comment about her being serious. "Why wouldn't I be serious?"
"You're so right - exactly one too many rose petals. What was my mother thinking!" Her mother was certainly over the top sometimes, though there were definitely worse mothers. She wondered if her sister had anything to do with this scheme, too. She would definitely have to get her back, already assuming guilt by association. "I stopped trying to understand what my mother was thinking a long time ago - so many less headaches. I much prefer spending my time coming up with new ways to worry her half to death. I think I'll go back to the sharks this week - classic." The response had an added benefit of ignoring the date aspect of all of it.
"Five-oh-eight. Five hundred and eight - what is that, like.. one third of the minutes we'll be stuck in here? Hey! You think we should really take the bribe and actually stay? Doesn't the day on the beach sound so much better?"
Elektra flushed when Dylan teased about it being punishment to be stuck with her, and her mind screamed that it was! In a way, that's exactly what it was! In a Valentine themed room, set up on a 'date' with a woman she wanted to go on a date with, but never could? Not that she could dell Dylan any of that. She'd rather bungee jump.
"Being stuck inside is the punishment. And maybe you're just boring." She teased, playfully sticking her tongue out at her friend. "Unless you think you can keep an adrenaline junkie amused for twenty-four hours?" She playfully challenged, raising an eyebrow at Dylan. As she stared at her friend on the bed, surrounded by the red, her cheeks flushed as thoughts flooded her head. It forced her to sit up after handing the chocolates over, spotting the champagne.
"Oh, thank fuck, there's at least alcohol to wash the chocolate down with." Getting up, she tried opening the bottle, letting out a mini scream as she eventually opened it, but ended up popping a balloon with the cork. "If we're talking real fear, it's opening these damn things." She said with a laugh, before pouring them each a flute and handing one over.
The corners of Dylan's lips continued to curl upwards until she couldn't hold back another laugh that she tried so hard to keep in. "Definitely one to many," she commented, thoroughly enjoying the current situation. She'd have to make note to thank Althea in private for putting her daughter in this situation, because Elektra's flustered and embarrassed behaviour was absolutely priceless, but Dylan also found it quite endearing. "So, she enjoys embarrassing the hell out of you, and you enjoy scaring the hell out of her? You two are quite similar in some way or another, " Dylan chuckled softly.
Eyebrows then scrunched together as a perplexed expression fell across Dylan's features when the ramble began to happen, but then she was smiling once more. Okay, why did this woman have to be so damn adorable. It truly wasn't fair. "Truthfully, don't even really care about the money, but it would be nice to prove your mother wrong, because I can guarantee that she probably doesn't think that we can stay in here for twenty-four hours." The flushed cheeks didn't go unnoticed, in fact it had her smirking, and for a moment she was all but ready to call her out on it, but it would probably only cause her to actually combust with embarrassment, and she couldn't do that to the poor woman, plus it was cute. Dylan's head then shook as eyes rolled playfully. "I'm boring. Wow, that's just rude," she bantered back. "Got any other secrets you want to share about not liking me?" She grinned.
Watching smugly as the other got up from the bed, she stayed where she was for a moment, eyes just following Elektra's movements, lingering when she finally came to a stop. A boisterous laugh then slipped from her lips when she finally got the bottle of champagne open, but ended up bursting one of the balloons with the cork. "Okay careful, you are going to injure yourself," she made note as she finally got up from the bed and then moved towards the other woman, stopping just inches from her. "And to answer your question from just moments before," Dylan began in a soft whisper, not daring to move away as she grabbed the drink. "There's a few things I can think of that can get your heart racing fast."
"Or we go to my place, where I know I have raw honey, bananas, and unsweetened almond milk." She teased, reaching out and 'bopping' her friend in the nose. "Didn't know you were a lightweight." She teased, running the back of a knuckle gently along Sabina's cheek, where she had previously kissed. "You're all flushed."
Once they took that shot, Evan refilled both glasses with water. "Three water shots to every shot we take from now. Deal?" After their water shots, Evelyn grabbed Sabina by the hand, dragging her out towards the dance floor.
"You're really hot when you're dancing, you know that?" Evelyn leaned in to whisper shout into her friends ear to be heard over the music, after almost fifteen minutes of dancing. "Time for another shot?" She asked, backing away to get her answer, though still held onto one of Sabina's hands, fingers woven together.
"I guess if you want to deal with your own hangover, then sure, we can go back to yours," Sabina laughed as she shrugged, her face was then scrunching up when her nose was poked. Though her eyebrow then quirked upwards at the lightweight comment, unsure what she even meant. "No idea what you even mean? I am definitely not a lightweight," she spoke before Evan's hand was on her cheek and she realized what the other was actually pointing out. Immediately she rolled her eyes at the fact she had been caught blushing at the woman's small sign of affection. "There's other reasons why I could be all flushed, you know," a smirk now pulling across her lips.
"Yeah, sure," Sabina agreed, not knowing if that deal would be broken further on in the night and she'd be taking more alcoholic shots than water, but for now she'd go along with it. After tossing back the water ones, she allowed Evan to drag her out towards the dance floor and instantly started dancing to the rhythm of the music.
The smirk from earlier made a reappearance when she heard the comment from Evan. "Could say the same about you," was replied back in the same manner while giving the other a wink. Nodding her head at the question, she used their entangled hands to this time take the lead as she guided the other back to the bar, ordering two more shots once they got there.
"I could certainly fucking try." It was a comment for the sake of commenting, though, because it would be just too simple to not be stubborn and argue. Especially in a life and death situation. It wasn't like Alina had an active death wish, and would certainly always fight to survive, as she didn't want to die. But she also didn't seem to value her life all that much, which was certainly an odd combination.
Alina knew she wasn't smart - not in the way Luca was. It never really bothered her, but she did have a hard time admitting there were some things she just couldn't do on her own. Coming up with the kind of plan they needed to escape with minimal interaction with the undead? That was the kind of smart Alina just wasn't.
When Luca went to move from their position, the grip on her wrist grabbed her hand just as firmly, and she looked to the other with deep concern - a rare glimpse of emotion on her features that wasn't painted in anger. It didn't last long, though, and she released Luca's hand, and just stay put, impatiently waiting for a plan. She wanted to tell the other to be careful and safe, but the words were non combative and didn't seem to be able to make it to her tongue.
The minute that her hand was grabbed just as firmly as her wrist had been previously, Luca's gaze immediately shot to Alina, giving her a pointed look that held nothing but annoyance and frustration, her lips pressing together as she waited to see if the other woman was going to say anything. Though when she noticed the rare look of deep concern from Alina, her face softened slightly, but as quick as it came, it disappeared just the same and finally she was letting go. "I'm not stupid remember," is the last thing she whispered before she began to slowly move away to look in another direction of where she knew the true danger was lurking.
Slowly coming up to a corner, Luca came into view of another darkened hallway, something that they surely would have missed if she allowed Alina to just take control of the situation. Though just as she was about to pull out her flashlight and venture a little down it to see if she could figure out just how far it went, she heard a small ruckus and she quickly moved backwards, slamming her body against the wall, but making sure not to make any sound. Then she shut her eyes to allow her other senses to listen for anymore movement or noises, however, the beating of her rapidly racing heart definitely didn't help the situation at all.
After being quite certain that there were probably only a couple of stragglers that way - if that even was the noise she had heard - she made her way back to Alina. "There's another path that way," pointing into that direction. "But I think there may be a couple stragglers cause I heard a little bit of movement or something." Honestly, it could have just been a bunch of rats scampering across the floor, but she didn't want to risk going alone in case it did turn out to be something far more dangerous.
"To be fair, with a pick up line like that, I probably should have." Elliott teased with a laugh, giving a wink to the other. "But so far, kinda glad I didn't." Her job was no nonsense, so the kind of whimsy this woman was bringing to her night was warm and welcoming.
"Future girlfriend, huh? Honestly shocked you didn't say wife. Good to know you're able to set realistic goals." She hadn't had teasing banter in a long time, and even if she left without a number, she was pleased with the interaction. "Nice to meet you, Benny. I'm Elliott - my ring size is a six, in case your wanted to go on an adventure." She took her drink as it arrived - a whiskey sour with a cherry - and tilted the glass towards the other woman, before taking a sip. "Since we're so in love, why don't you tell me what our wedding is like. I'm curious what kind of taste we have as a couple."
"What do you mean? That pick up line was golden and you know it," Benny continued with the banter, smirking at the wink that was given to her. "You've gotta appreciate some kind of cheesy pick up line every now and then, no matter how atrocious it may actually be . Unless it's from sleazy men, then that's always out of the question, because they definitely don't need the attention."
Curiousness then spread across her face before she was laughing once more, her shoulders lifting in a shrug. "Thought saying girlfriend would be a better thing to say, because didn't want to scare you off with going all in. But future girlfriend could definitely lead to future wife, so in some way or another, I did say it." Honestly, she truly was grateful that this woman was continuing to play along rather than laughing in her face. "Pleasure's all mine, gorgeous," Benny smirked and gave Elliott a wink of her own.
Pressing her lips together, Benny hummed in thought for a moment before a smile creeped back across her lips. "Hmm, I think I might want to keep that a secret for now. But if you accept going on a date with me, then that may come up as a part of the conversation during it."
"Wait, really? What made you think that?" Elektra asked, poking a balloon nervously. She had tried to just up and leave once she saw it, but her mother had one of the staff mention there may have been a twenty-five hundred dollar prize if they could both stay in the room for twenty-four hours together. How the hell was she supposed to convince Dylan leaving was the best choice now?
Sighing, she flopped on the bed beside Dylan, playfully sprinkling a handful of rose petals over her face and chest. "Think we're in the wrong room, and we just ruined some poor soul's proposal?" She joked with a laugh, hoping it didn't sound as nervous as she was. How could a fantastical dream turn into a living nightmare!
"This is cruel and unusual punishment! Not being allowed outside is insane!" If only the hotel suite didn't have a lovely balcony, that reasoning may have actually been valid. Reaching above her head, she blindly reached for the box of chocolates and opened them up. "I would like to take this lovely opportunity to apologize for my mother's antics." She sighed as she popped a chocolate into her mouth, staring at the heart shaped balloons on the ceiling. With a small gesture, she held the heart shaped box of treats out for Dylan to take if she so chose.
Amusement continued to linger across Dylan's face. "Oh, I don't know, I think this one rose petal gave it away," she replied as her hand reached for one of the petals that had been disturbed when she ventured onto the bed and held it up. She didn't make note of anything else in the room, but it surely was quite over the top, something that she honestly just wasn't expecting to see. Pressing her lips together, she turned to look at Elektra, allowing silence to linger momentarily as her eyes squinted. "Does your mother think you're not capable of getting a date yourself or what?"
When Elektra joined her on the bed, she scrunched up her face as the petals fell across it, she then shrugged her shoulders while thinking for a second. "I mean, we could actually be, but Althea was very adamant about this room, she said it like about ten times. Think I am going to have suite 508 stuck in my brain forever now," was responded with a soft chuckle. Dylan was also quite positive that Althea would have made sure that they definitely entered the correct room.
Eyebrows then flew upwards at the other woman's next words. "Cruel and unusual punishment? Wow, alright then, Sparky! Didn't realize just how much you despise the thought of being stuck in a room with just me, but now I do," her tone was light and playful, letting the other know that she was only messing around and knew that she didn't actually mean it like that. Laughing again, her head shook. "Nah, don't apologize. Got free chocolate out of this, so, can't really be mad about it. Not that I ever was. Honestly, I'm quite amused," Dylan grinned as she didn't hesitate to take one of them as the box was held out to her. "Though as over the top this room is, it's actually quite cute."

Falling onto the bed, Dylan let out an amused laugh. "Okay, I don't know about you, but I feel like your mother is trying to set us up on a date."

"You know if you need a ride, I can always take you to where you want to go."
"No holding back, then. But you're buying." She tossed in with a wink, kissing her friend's cheek as a pre thank-you. "But I'll buy the food." She honestly couldn't see them staying more than an hour or two - mostly because she was a hungry drunk, and loved to eat. A few shots, dancing, having a wild time, back to one of their places for an assortment of take out and a couple more shots.
"Oh, I'm dying to see what hangover cures you have! We should write them all down and spin to see what we try." After Sabina ordered the shots, Evan caught the attention and ordered a bottle of water. "We're staying hydrated." Holding up her shot glass, she couldn't help but smile, already feeling the tension leaving her body at just the idea of a carefree night. "To no excuses!"
"If it means that you'll be drinking more than a couple then I definitely don't mind buying," she didn't hesitate to reply, but then she felt her cheeks beginning to heat up as one of them was kissed. "Deal," Sabina beamed with a head nod, knowing that at some point they'd eventually have to venture out to get something to eat, because she was sure they were going to consume a large quantity of alcohol that evening and food would definitely help.
"If I remember later, then I will put it on a wheel spin app and we can go from there, but if I forget, then we'll just wing it tomorrow morning. But you know the usual; drink lots of water, take some Advil, have some eggs or avocado on toast, and so on," she was shrugging again as she turned her attention back to the bar when the next round of shots were placed in front of them. A soft laugh then fell as she heard the other order water, knowing that it was definitely a wise decision to make. "Fair," she nodded and then reached for her glass and raised it towards Evan's. "To no excuses," she replied as she clinked the glasses together and then tossed back her shot.
"You and I both know if I wanted to stop you, I would win." That kind of commotion would get them both killed, though. Honestly, there was no point in even pointing that out, other than to be difficult and be argumentative. "Maybe because I can do it on my own." Wrong answer. Not even true, despite her always trying like hell to try and make it so.
What was she supposed to say to any of that? That she always chose the safer option of running when possible? Truly, it was a damn miracle she was even alive, herself, with the risks she had taken. It was Luca pointing that out that angered her, because being called out like that wasn't comfortable.
"What other way do we have to go, then?" She finally relented, after studying how serious Luca was about this. Truthfully, she was trying to measure if she could get away with trying the original plan or not, and the conclusion was an outstanding 'not'.
As much as Luca wanted to argue with that comment, they both knew that it was true, because out of the two, the other was definitely physically stronger. But what she lacked in strength, she made up for in intelligence, having way more common sense, and the ability to read the situation a hell of a lot better than Alina could. So, instead of responding to the first thing spoken, she decided to just ignore it, because even with Alina going all out to stop her, she wouldn't allow it so dang easily, and a loud unnecessary commotion would surely be the outcome which would put both their lives in danger. Letting out a sigh, Luca shook her head while her eyes rolled in frustration. "Be fucking serious for once would you! You know damn well that you can't take on that large horde on your own." It honestly truly baffled her why Alina had to always try and prove that she could do the impossible, like what was even the point? It was absolute stupidity at the end of the day.
As the other woman finally caved and questioned which other way they could go, Luca fell silent, her gaze scanning the area momentarily before looking back into the other's direction. "Right now, I don't have a clue, but instead of running head first straight into danger - because you think it's our only option - how about we assess the area first?" She suggested before slowly moving from her position to take a better look around.
"That depends - which answer gets you to buy me a drink?" Elliott asked, raising an eyebrow playfully. Elliott had only come out tonight to relax and try and enjoy the atmosphere. The pub was a new one for her, and she first regretted giving it a try, what with the amount of drinks she sent back, not at all interested in male attention. However, things were certainly looking more interesting now.
"Does a name come with the drink, hot stuff? We are in love, after all."
"Either or, to be fair. I mean you could have completely brushed off everything I had just spoken to you, and I probably still would have bought you a drink in secret," Benny's shoulders lifted in a shrug, another light chuckle slipping from her lips. "But I do rather enjoy the fact you are playing along with my nonsense," she admitted and then turned her attention towards the bar to order two drinks.
"I suppose it would be a good idea for you to know the name of your future girlfriend," Benny let out smugly. "Benny, and you?"
"Oh, you are so lucky I don't work tomorrow!" Evelyn caved, grabbing one of the shots and downing it. It had been forever since she had just let loose, so why not it be now? "My hangover is your problem tomorrow, though!" She commented as she let her empty shot glass down, laughing a little. "I'll even down another right now if you agree to dance with me."
"That's handy information to know," Sabina grinned. "Now you have no excuses that will hold you back at all tonight," a laugh fell into the space between them as she watched Evan grab her shot and down it, she then reached for her own and did the same. Amusement spread across her features as her shoulders shrugged. "I got all the hangover cures to take care of that, so not even worried one bit," she was quick to respond before pressing her lips together in thought momentarily. "Got yourself a deal, babe," Sabina eventually replied. Her attention then turned to grab the bartender's attention. "Dee, two more, please," holding up two fingers to accompany her words.
"And you think if I do not stand a chance, that you do?" Alina asked in a tone that was likely a little condescending. It wasn't intentional, but it was the outcome. "You are not going." Like she had any actual say in the situation, regarding Luca's autonomy. Despite this, a hand did move to firmly take hold of the woman's wrist, acting like a handcuff and a weight to keep her from running off to force a decision.
"I will run more than fight. Does this make it better?" Likely not. Likely still delusional, but the woman Alina once commonly thought of as an annoyance, had come to grow on her - and the idea of Luca being in danger didn't sit right with her in the slightest.
"When the fuck did I say that I could take them on by myself. I said that we either do this together or we find another way to get the fuck out of here. Because I also know that I don't stand a single chance on my own either." Why did this woman have to be so damn infuriating? It seriously got on Luca's last nerve, but even then, she found herself drawn to her for whatever damn reason, and the thought of her going on some stupid death mission just didn't sit right with her. "You can't stop me if I wanted to. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you, Alina!? Stop acting like you are some high and mighty individual that can do everything on their own! It's fucking exhausting," she rolled her eyes while blowing out a breath.
"With your damn track record, I highly doubt that you are going to do more running than fighting." There had been plenty of occasions where the other had chosen fighting over running. Luca had honestly lost count at this point, so trying to convince her any different would be a difficult feat.
"It's a good thing you're both not a man and extremely hot, or I probably would have laughed." Elliott teased, licking her lips as she obviously checked the other out. "But if you're going to walk by again, you mind doing a little spin?" She added with a wink, twirling her finger in the motion for added effect.
"Thank fuck for that," Benny grinned, knowing that some of them could be even more atrocious than she currently was being at the moment. The checking out from the other woman didn't go unnoticed, and it caused a smirk to pull across her lips. "Suppose I can humour you, gorgeous," she chuckled as she strolled a little bit away before turning back around and walking by the other once more, making sure to spin when she got near. A louder laugh then fell into the open. "How was that? You fallen in love yet, or is third time the charm?"
Olivia was glad that Robby seemed to be into playing around with her. "Well, if you play your cards right, you'll get to see them." She added, but she knew the odds were that she'd dance either way. Olivia enjoyed having fun however she could. "I guess that depends on what you can offer me."
"Well, it's good to know that I'm doing something right so far," he spoke in amusement, kind of glad that he wasn't making a complete fool of himself, and that Olivia did seem to enjoy his company. Her next words, however, had him thinking for a brief moment. "Hm," he hummed. "How do you feel about me taking you out to lunch tomorrow? That is if you don't already have plans."
