"I'm not worried, I'm ready for it." He says with a nod, sure it's not what he's used to but an office job isn't more difficult than missions, or combat. He's got this.

To the departing kids, he waves a hand, they're off to do whatever. Reminds him of when he'd go off with his own friends for fun.

His friends... He missed them.

How were they doing now? Were they still searching for him? Moved on? He'd disappeared without a trace, could he blame them if they eventually did?

He can never return.

There's no point dwelling on something entirely out of his control, but sometimes, it just hits him as it does now. Moments that make him remember glimpses of his old life. Yes, there were good moments among the bad but at least here, he could reinvent his own identity.

Live his own life and discover just who he is outside of being Shinra's SOLDIER. The world's Hero.

Perhaps it's meant to be.

In any case, he's ready to take on his new role, claim the life he was meant to live, a normal one. That's all he ever wanted.

"Give it a try for a month or so, see how it goes." Doesn't seem like she's accepting a 'no thank you' on this matter.

"I won't need a month to decide if this is something I'll stick to." But he gives an acknowledging nod, though she hadn't consulted him on the matter before going ahead and planning this for him, he can see she had good intentions. That and, her judgement is sound, he doesn't see anything wrong with it.
