Don't be an ass. Rude characters are one thing, but being rude ooc is a whole other thing. Basic decency shouldn't even have to be listed as a rule, honestly.

If I give you several paragraphs and you respond with three sentences, I will assume you have no interest in the thread, and stop responding. I know it can be hard to match length, but try to at least match half of it.

I don't write smut - I don't make exceptions to this rule.

I don't enjoy writing battles or adventure type things. My preferences goes towards the fairly simple slice-of-life genre with the focus being on building friendship or romance.

I am both multiverse and multiship, but relationships require both work and chemistry. Unless it's a canon ship, I don't insta-ship.

I don't mind writing crossovers, but I prefer for the world to match my character when this happens, due to VERY limited knowledge of other fandoms.

Fandoms I don't write with are Kingdom Hearts, Star Wars or Genshin Impact. Due to some personal reasons I just REALLY dislike these franchises. Just know that it is absolutely nothing personal!

If a thread has been unresponded to for two months without notice, I'll likely consider it dead.

I'm always open to plotting some things out in DMs, and discord is available to those who prefer to plot or write on there !

Kingsley Evans A single father, he cares deeply for his family. While he may be a bit clumsy, he generally means well. He teaches a kindergarten class which often keeps him busy both during and after school hours. He met a redheaded teacher from [Ireland] during a regional teacher conference years ago, Regina. They married no less than two years later, but she has since passed. Kingsley enjoys spending time outside, and likes to take the kids camping during the holidays. 

Victor Evans Quite lazy by default, Victor doesn’t leave the house all that much when he doesn’t absolutely have to. He prefers to stay inside, either gaming or napping. Despite this, he’s not exactly an introvert - he doesn’t struggle interacting with others, and often has a fairly easy time making friends.

Gloria Evans Owning the brash temperament of her deceased mother, Gloria can be quite like a storm when you meet her. She is friendly and helpful, even if she can be a bit much for most, and often means well. She tends to be out and about, fulfilling her job as a researcher’s assistant. 

There’s a bit of a joke in the family that Gloria stole all of Victor’s energy back when they were still in the womb. Though, most people who hear don’t actually think it’s a joke.

If her eyes were open, she'd no doubt roll them at his joke of being the gift, himself. "How silly. I already have you."

With every passing second the curiousity grows more and more, trying to figure out what he's doing by sound, but failing. So instead, she waits - her fingers lightly drumming on the steel surface of the slide, before she's finally told she can open them.

She paper alone is enough to make her smile. It's cute- and despite her bursting curiousity, she's careful in peeling back the tape so as to not tear the paper any more than she has to, slowly revealing the box beneath.

Opening the lid, her eyes widen in pleasant surprise. "What's this? How pretty…" She picks one up, holding it up to the sunlamps above and watching it glimmer. Her mouth is slightly slack in awe, her eyes sparkling.

At least there is no denying that his gift is a success.

"Well, you know---" He seemed rather embarrassed now that he had to explain it, though he knew such a time would come when he handed it over. He rubbed the back of his head.

"A lot of my friends pick up souvenirs for their loved ones back home: little keychains, magnets--- that sort of thing, to, you know, remember their time spent in all the places we go. I tried to do that, at first, but----"

Soldier wasn't called out for any pleasure cruise. When he returned to normalcy, he was usually too bloodied or grimy to go walking into any store front without scaring the locals.

"Instead, I just started to pay attention to my surroundings. Actually, there's a lot of things like this out there. Didn't notice before. Er---" He smiled sheepishly. "Though, now that I think about it, I couldn't tell you which stone came from where... heh, I guess that defeats the purpose?"

She marvels at each and every stone, holding them up to the artificial sun and relishing in how the light filters through each one just a BIT differently. It's beautiful. Much like his stories of the outside world always are. So different from the place it always is in her fears.

"I guess… We'll just have to visit those places together then, sometime. You know, so you can find similar stones and I can write down where they're from." she says, forcing her voice to sound light and to not betray the stress she always feels at the mention of going outside. But it's like she's always telling herself : it'll surely be alright if it's with Zack.

… Well. When she's ready.

"Are there more things like these, just laying around and about, out there?" she asks, finally tearing her gaze away from the crystal to glance at Zack. Her eyes are sparkling.

Inconsistent style but whatever

Lazard does a whole "undercover boss" thing and disguises himself as a third class SOLDIER, how's the experience?

Lazard spends two weeks as a newbie Third Class SOLDIER, and he's surprised by how many people genuinely fail to recognize him just because he wears a helmet. During this time, he discovers many things:

• He discovers that when he's not there, people flock to Sephiroth for guidance—not because Angeal isn't a natural leader, but because it took Sephiroth only ten hours of Lazard's absence to commandeer the director's office. Sephiroth claimed the better air conditioning and ergonomic chair as necessary for "optimal efficiency."

• Discovers that the break room houses an underground economy of energy drinks and instant noodles, complete with a detailed spreadsheet ranking flavors and their trade values. Lazard is relieved to discover this because, until then, he had assumed the clandestine trade-off he caught Genesis and Sephiroth conducting in the men's room was drugs.

• Witnesses Zack Fair maintaining a secret mini-garden of succulents behind the training room equipment. Apparently Aerith gifted him one (1) and it accidentally grew into more, resulting in Zack panic-gardening. *Zack sobbed when explaining this.

• Finds out Angeal has been secretly adopting every office plant that other SOLDIERs kill from neglect, nursing them back to health in his apartment. He has about 87 "rescued" plants. Lazard stepped into his apartment for a get-together and thought he was in the jungle.

• Learns that the reason Cloud Strife regularly sneaks onto the SOLDIER floor without a problem is because the entire security team finds him "endearing and adorable."

• Discovers there's an ongoing betting pool about whether Sephiroth and Angeal are having an affair. What's more shocking is that Genesis is the organizer.

• Kunsel has eyes and ears everywhere.

• Realizes SOLDIER has a secret group chat where they warn each other about disciplinary sweeps, nosy Turks, surprise inspections from Shinra execs, and "Hojo sightings" in real-time. Sephiroth responds to each Hojo sighting with "👍"

• Finds out the juniors have code words for when the Firsts are approaching: "The entity" for Sephiroth, "Beef" for Angeal, and "caw caw caw" for Genesis.

• Learns that someone (Genesis) has mapped out all the security camera blind spots and sells the information for materia.

Lazard, removing his disguise in front of Sephiroth: You won't BELIEVE what I discovered this week while I was under disguise.

Sephiroth: Oh, you found out about the kangaroo Zack got for the program as a mascot that we keep it in the storeroom and has been teaching us to box.

Lazard: The WHAT?

Sephiroth: You're hearing things.

I just watched a video of an (either fearless or crazy) French guy giving boops to all sorts of Australian wildlife he meets. Yes, including the snakes. And the spiders. So now I feel that Zack would totally try to do the same for the SOLDIER vlog. While everyone in the background probably double-checks their stack of Curagas, Esunas and Phoenix Downs.

SOLDIER Vlogging Shenanigans pt. ???

[The camera shows Zack sitting cross-legged on the floor, gently petting what appears to be a massive tarantula perched on his knee]

"Hey guys! Welcome back to the vlog! Today I want to introduce you to my new friend here. Found her in the ventilation system, isn't she beautiful?"

[In the background, the sound of Genesis yelling "FUCK" can be heard, followed by the sound of someone climbing onto furniture]

Angeal's voice cuts in from off-camera, remarkably calm but strained. "Zack. Step away from the spider."

"But Angeal! Look how cute she is! I'm just gonna give her a tiny boop—"

"SEPHIROTH," Angeal shouts, "HOW MANY PHOENIX DOWNS DO WE HAVE LEFT?"

[Zack briefly flips the camera around to film himself pulling a disgruntled face, before panning back to the spider]

"AFTER THE MARLBORO INCIDENT LAST WEEK? TWO!" Sephiroth yells back.

[Genesis is heard praying from somewhere off-camera]

"As I was saying," Zack continues calmly, still stroking the tarantula, "I think I'm gonna name her Princess. Look at how fuzzy she is!"

"SEPHIROTH!" Angeal yells.

"WHAT?" Sephiroth yells back.

"COME HERE!"

[The spider shifts slightly, causing Genesis to yell a series of swears in the background]

"Oh! She's doing a little dance!" Zack beams at the camera. "See how she lifts her front legs? That means she's happy!"

Sephiroth's voice sounds from somewhere in the background, much closer now. "That is NOT a dance, that is a threat display."

"Nah, she's just vibing," Zack says, giving the spider another gentle pat. "Aren't you, Princess?"

"SEPHIROTH!" Angeal yells again.

"I'M STANDING RIGHT BESIDE YOU!" Sephiroth yells back.

[Zack pans the camera back around to film himself staring into the lens, deadpan]

"Guys, you're being really dramatic right now—"

[A series of rapid events unfold: Genesis' voice from somewhere up high: "THAT'S IT, I'M DONE—", The distinct sound of a Materia being activated, Angeal: "GENESIS NO—", Sephiroth: "NOT INDOORS—"]

[Zack pans the camera down to show his knee where Princess was sitting… except there's no spider]

"Uh… guys? Where did she—"

[Genesis lets out an unholy screech as flames suddenly erupt everywhere]

[Zack turns the camera to his face one last time, grinning despite the chaos]

"Well folks, that's all for today's vlog! Don't forget to like and subscribe, and maybe send us some new furniture—"

[A particularly large fireball whooshes past his head]
