Gay! Clara Schumann headcanon makes my heart sing
Don’t get me wrong, I love Robert and I love them as The Schumanns but I just can’t help loving the idea of Clara being full-on Carol Aird.
I'd rather be in outer space 🛸

Gay! Clara Schumann headcanon makes my heart sing

Me, whenever I put my menstrual cup in the wrong way:
I have failed as an eco-friendly anti-capitalist body loving feminist. I deserve death!
Dishonor me.
Dishonor my family.
Dishonor my cow.
Ok so, hear me out:
Clara Schumann as a Virginia Woolf character and Alma Mahler as her Sally Seton.
So... somehow I´m about to reach 1000 followers which is crazy as hell.
1000 unknown people, manifest yourselves! Let me get to know you a little.
Dear 13 year old self:
You have no idea about what is to come soon, and that´s fine. What would be the point, really?Â
What would you need to know that in a few months you´ll meet someone that will sweep off your feet forever for? Seriously, forever. I mean this, approximately in May you´re going to fall in love for the first time, I know you´re young but love is like that. You can wait to know that soon you´ll start a long two and a half year journey on the quest for your true sexuality (and your true self)
Let me tell you a few shocking things, just like those ones:
The group of girls you call your friends today? You find them utterly uninteresting, you haven´t realized, but you do. They´re all shallow and so not the people you need to be with, yes, even your so called best friend. Eventually you´ll find the most amazing group of people and you´ll realize that all of this stupid pretending to be someone you´re not is absolutely pointless. You are amazing, you always have been, your true self is so fantastic but this horrific character you´ve created in the past years is so sickening to me.. stop this and just let yourself be.
I know you have these big plans and you´re going to be a fantastic writer of the most boring, irrelevant pieces of garbage literature that you´re going to then turn into disgusting tacky films for people that don´t think one bit, but hey! You actually like music! The piano actually is what you love the most and in some years you´re going to be working your butt off to become a world-class musician (and you´re going to read good literature again). There is one thing I´m very proud of you for and that is being able to survive the three years with the hell teacher from Cuba and not giving up, I wouldn't have been that strong. Worry not, in some months she´ll actually tell you that she´s retiring and you´ll start a whole new chapter in your life.
Soon you´ll read your first Virginia Woolf, and will that change you forever... it´ll aid you in the whole sexuality thing, in your sociopolitical views, in changing you as a human being for the better and finding your true aspirations for the future.
Oh, also, you do love London, it´s a beautiful city, but you just don´t love it in the way you think you do, you do in a much more significant way. But you´ll travel in a few years to a place that you´ll feel at home the second you see: Berlin, that is the place you actually want to spend the rest of your life in. You as well love your own city much more than you think.
Hey, I must admit I don´t like you one bit, but that´s ok, it´s a part of life to be the worst possible version of yourself (yes, that´s you). And in any case you´re about to enter a time in your life that will be filled with the biggest, greatest changes and you´ll eventually reach the point in which you turn into someone that I actually like. Just be yourself and stay away of those people, dammit.
With certain love and some regrets for letting you be a part of me, your 17 year old self, just 4 short years away in time.
So my 'some of the beautiful things my piano teacher says about being a classical musician' post blew up thanks to Classic FM, and as I never intended for it to do so I have changed my url to argerichs-steinway. Sorry for the inconvenience, but privacy is privacy. I'm still super grateful to Classic FM though.
Coming Out?
Coming out is extremely stressful and terrifying.Â
Remember:
If you’re not ready, don’t push yourself.Â
Do it your way. Plan it out.
There’s nothing wrong with crying.Â
Breathe.
Google coming out stories / ask your friends about their coming out.
Don’t feel the need to label yourself.Â
Come out to one person at a time.
Give the person time. Let them process what they’ve been told.Â
Don’t come out during an argument or a heated discussion.Â
Be sober.
Be prepared for questions.
Have an escape plan; you never know how things might turn out, so having a place to crash isn’t a terrible idea.
If you ever need anyone to talk to or rant to, I’m here. Please don’t hesitate to contact me any time of day.
Very important
Look at these adorable teeny tiny people learning to play the violin!
I’m a nerd, but not in the useful “you’ll all be working for me one day when I invent jet packs” way. I’m a nerd in the “I have very strong opinions about history and literature and will yell them at you if you give me even the slightest opportunity” way. And that one does not pay well.
when you're working really hard on a piece, but it's kicking your butt, and someone says "you just need to try harder"
fucking scriabin
Music College pro tip
Bring extra strings, rosin, bows, mouth pieces, cork grease, mutes, whatever because you will need them. You will. I promise.
Vocal Major: *sweats nervously*
dont forget your vocal chords guys
Are winds and perc like, actual minorities in the classical music fandom because it seems like there are 192834808595869849389338 strings and like, 70+ of us
Are you joking?? All I ever see is fucking band posts and I still don’t know what band is! Where are all the string players hiding? (Also probably because you need a million more strings in orchestra and shit that there are lots of us apparently although I thought everyone was wind and brass basically)
Where are pianists hiding at?
Under our instruments.
This is beautiful

Has Harnoncourt says: it is better to use time periods instead of "style" names. You can't really say Schubert is the same style as Mozart, Schubert is classified a lot as a Romantic too. And Debussy is clasified as an impressionist, not a Romantic. So to rid of complications let's start using centuries.
Dying a little (lot) because of this Scriabin Etude.
I'm so glad you're so dedicated to piano, you make me want to practice more
Oh wow this is amazing! This is actual goals of how my blog/life can influence people.Keep on practicing my little bird, remember that practice makes perfect!
jesus christ Beethoven doesn’t fuck around does he

I love him so much. This is the man that conducted the best Mozart Requiem of all times.
