I take a call from a woman earlier today at work, and the first thing I hear in the background our children. as this woman started to give me her information to look up her account, the kids start to call out to her.

No quicker then this kid could finish whatever his question was, his mom laid into him on a very short but venomous tirade.

That boy, sounding no older than 7 years old, starting crying loudly. His mama got back on with me like nothing happened. I got so damn upset, my blood pressure rose. I put her on hold.

I am so sick and tired of hearing black mothers talk to their children as if they are a cancer. Then they wonder why their children act the way they do. They bully them, intimidate them, scare the hell out of them, and then say that they love them. Children that grow up to think that is what love is. This is wrong, but far too common in black households. This needs to fucking end. Too many of us grow up with this and never are able to express ourselves because we’re robbed of self esteem as kids. It’s not fucking fair. It’s not fucking fair.
