Go see Into The Woods, Thurs-Sat, 7:30pm; Sun, 2pm, PAC
Dear all, First, kudos to director (and new faculty member) David Reiser for all of his work in putting together this show. And kudos as well to all who worked on it: guest artist and musical director Jude Obermuller, choreographer Alyssa Natale, set designer Venustiano Borromeo, costume designer Chelsea Regan, lighting designer Mark Mallett, and sound designer Doug Dimeler, as well as the cast and crew. The show features wonderful performances—particularly vocal performances—from Stockton students and alumni—and those performances are shown off to their best effect through the efforts of all of those mentioned above. As David states in his Director Notes, part of the message of the show is that whatever scary things we encounter in the woods, we do not have to face them alone. This show is a testimony to our interdependence on each other, as “no single person could accomplish this monumental feat of musical theatre. . . . Each one is essential to our show.” You should see it; you’ll be impressed. Into the Woods runs today through Sunday, April 9 in the PAC. Thursday through Saturday shows are at 7:30 pm, with a 2:00 pm matinee on Sunday. General admission is $10.00; students and senior citizens, $8.00. Suport Stockton arts!
