“Oh, you should hear mine. I couldn’t over the music.” Hanna rolled her eyes. “I never realized dancing was so exhausting. I must be close to starvation.” She whined playfully before her brunette friend informed her she’d be waiting for her out in the hall. “Okay great. I’ll be quick. Just give me five.” She assured her, waiting until she had left the room. Five minutes weren’t even required, three were probably more like it. The blonde shot Aria another wide smile once she met her in the hall. “All ready to go?” She asked happily. “By now, I feel like I’ll need even more than a smoothie. Maybe two. And cheese fries.”

“Well dancing does require a lot of movement, Han.” She chuckled in amusement, “So it must be exhausting.” She nodded once more in agreement as her pretty blonde friend disappeared into the locker room to change out of her clothes. Aria spun around quickly when she heard her friend beam out of the locker room, “I’m all set.” She smiled back in reassurance as she moved to link her arm with Hanna’s,” It was hard not to be in a good mood when you were around Hanna. “A smoothie and cheese fries sound great. Oh maybe some cookies too. I’m having the worst sweet tooth.” She wiggled her brows in amusement as they both walked off toward the nearest restaurant. “So Han, tell me what’s been going on with you?”

“I’m glad you agree.” Hanna flashed her a wide smile, turning the stereo off for good. “I wasn’t quite done just yet but you’re right - it really feels like we haven’t seen each other in forever. Thus I’ll just call it a day and we’re going for that smoothie, alright?” She offered happily. “Just give me a minute to change out of this sticky stuff.” She requested, tugging on her sweaty shirt in disgust.

Aria couldn’t contain her giggling, especially after witnessing Hanna’s dancing. The small brunette smiled and nodded when her pretty blonde friend agreed to grabbing a smoothie, “Yea it’s just a smoothie. I think we both need to get something in our stomach’s because mine is growling.” She readjusted her purse as she nodded in agreement to the sweaty clothes comment, “Sure take all the time you need Han. I’ll wait out in the hall.”

I really think we should have a housewarming party. I was working a lot when I moved in an never got around to hosting one. But now that Em has moved in we definitely should do that as soon as she takes a break from swim practice. And of course I learned to make a few vegan things, what kind of best friend would I be if I hadn’t?

Seriously we used to get together more often than I can count, which is why I think a housewarming party would be a really good idea. I know you and Em have had a lot on your plate, but if things have settled down then let’s throw your housewarming party. I have loads of time and can help in any way you want. You are literally the greatest human being for learning some vegan recipes. Maybe you can show me a thing or two.

Declan smiled “To be honest, I don’t know if I would be mad with anyone if they get late, I know they would have a good reason to such thing, and I am not the one to get angry with people before hearing their side of the story” He shrugged, honestly he rarely was angry with people, not even when Alison cheated on him, he was hurt but not angry “Yeah, it is Cece” He smiled “Things are great, she is amazing, and well, we’ve been dating for three months or so”

“That is very true. You have always been so sweet and you don’t seem like the kind of guy who gets upset or even angered easily. “ She smiled at him and then the waitress when she noticed their food arriving. “Man that smells good!” She grinned happily at Declan and listened to him as she took a few bites. “ Aria nodded as he explained his relationship with Cece. “How did you two even get together? Sorry if I’m being nosey, but I’m really glad you’re happy.”

Cecilia smirked and turned away from Aria making her coffee. Once she had the coffee done she put it in a large take away cup and turned back to face her, placing the coffee on the desk. “A large iced hazelnut coffee to the girl who knows how to pick a good boyfriend.” She said winking at her. Cecilia looked to go to the cashier telling her the price of the coffee. 

“And please do leave a tip, sweetheart.”

Once again Aria rolled her eyes at the brunette. She nodded in thanks for the coffee and huffed loudly when she made her boyfriend comment, “That’s someone else’s problem now.” She held the large coffee and listened for the price and she rummaged through her purse for the proper amount to pay her.

“Here’s a tip how about you just keep your opinions to yourself and your mouth shut next time you serve a customer.” She left the extra dollar on the counter and spun around walking away almost not wanting to take a sip because her mood was suddenly ruined by the rude barista.

I think the four of us could definitely use a girls night, seems like we never get to see each other anymore. And I have become quite a decent cook since I got the apartment. I can even make some vegan stuff.

I second that statement. We all really really need a girls night. I heard about your cooking skills and heard about the apartment! I was telling Em we should plan a house warming party. Oh look at you! See that’s why you’re my best friend always looking out.

“Of course it was all worth it. You’ve worked hard and trust me nothing worth having comes easy. You know that better than anyone.” She smiled and leaned in to hug her friend sensing that she needed it. Aria knew she had been through quite a bit. “You know I’m here for you no matter what.” She smiled and let go as she looked at Chip again, “Well that’s only logical puppies can get annoying sometimes just like boyfriends, but I still want one.” She shrugged as she joked a bit.

Declan nodded “Oh, I know you are, I noticed that you are always on time, so I knew that you really got late because something important happened, actually, I was starting to get worried” He said with a small smile, he stayed a few minutes and when he saw she wasn’t there, he started to get worried that something had happened, which is why he was so happy to see that she was okay “Did I tell you that Cece and I started to date? You’ve been away for quite a while, I don’t remember if you were still here when we started to date”

Aria chuckled and nodded in agreement, “See I knew you’d understand. You know me pretty well.” She sat down and finally ordered her minestrone soup and chicken ceaser salad along with a raspberry iced tea. “Yea I’ve been sort of distant lately. I know you recently mentioned a girlfriend, but I didn’t know it was Cece.” She cleared her throat before continuing the conversation, “How are things going? I mean how long has it been?”

“I don’t know I just wanted a drink is that so bad?"Cassidy asked annoyed."I mean I can do whatever I want without her authorization.She’s not the boss of me."Cass was now angry.

“No I never said that was a bad thing.” Her hazel eyes grew when she saw how angry Cassidy got. “Look I’m sorry. I wasn’t implying that you needed her authorization or anything. What can I do to help?”

Cecilia was just started on sorting out the mess on the desk when she heard a familiar voice which she hadn’t heard for a while. “Aria Montgomery.”

“You sure have grown up.” She said and put down the notebook in her hand. “Hooking up with the english teacher. How very cliche of you; I don’t blame you though. He’s pretty cute— great kisser too.” Smirking she looked over at the girl who had formerly been one of Alison’s puppies. “That’s me. Cecilia Cavanaugh.”

Aria nodded, “Yea that’s me.” She listened to the brunette and simply rolled her eyes when Cecilia started spewing out her bullshit. She cleared her throat, “Look I really don’t give a damn what you say about me or Ezra just do your job and give me my coffee. Thanks.” Aria just simply wasn’t in the mood to deal with her attitude and even more less willing to hear anything Ezra related.

Momentarily confused, Hanna turned around only to catch a glimpse of her tiniest friend. “Oh Aria, hey. Why thank you.” She bowed slightly, finally turning the volume down. “Matter of fact, I am. I thought ‘hey, do something for your body for once’. And since running definitely didn’t work out for me, I thought I’d give this a try. I mean, seriously, why would you just run down the street without actual direction and let people stare at you? I will never understand.”

“Anytime Han.” Aria giggled just a bit more when she noticed Hanna bowing and she laughed even more when she explained running to her. “You know, honestly I never thought of it like that, but uh..yes dancing seems to work for you a little better.” She offered a smile, “Are you done here? I mean we can go grab a smoothie or something? I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever.”

Granted, you are rather tiny… but I’m sure your big personality would make up for it and you’d be able to handle it just fine. But let’s not take any chances here. If you manage to fill my life with positivity and make my change my ways for good, you probably know how to use witchcraft. Good thing this is the 21st century or someone might try put you on trial.

Aren’t we all just running on coffee nowadays? Whatever happened to our society that it has come this far. Fine, in 20 then. Oh, that’s your evil plan? I should have guessed it right from the start. But hey, you’d at least deserve it. You helped me by reading a few of my crappy drafts for my crappy debut yet you didn’t get to be in it - I should be obliged to include you in this one at the very least. The little spot you received in my acknowledgements certainly wasn’t enough of a repayment.

This is very true. Props to you for feeding my ego. I am very tempted to prove you wrong now and flaunt that I have super powers or something. Another good point, but then I could just use my magic powers against them.

No...I know some people completely opposed to coffee. But I am not one of those people. Great see you in 20. Well you know I’ll be there for you especially if it’s to read one of your drafts, Frank! But yes my own character would be great and yes the spot in the acknowledgements was nice, but my own character that’d be wow.

“Oh, hello Aria. It’s nice to see you as well. Everything’s going pretty well, actually. As well as it can be considering, ya know, being back in Rosewood again. Anything new with you?“

Aria nodded knowingly. Rosewood, although it was home definitely wasn’t the safest place to be. She sighed heavily and smiled again, “Yea I know. I know you don’t exactly want to be here, but at least you’re not alone in feeling that way. As for new things there isn’t much going on with me. I’m just...” she sighed heavily once more, “Living.”

Declan smiled and hugged her back, before sitting down again “No worries, you are fine, I have been here for just a few minutes” He said with a small smile, and even if he wasn’t, he probably wouldn’t say anything, because he wouldn’t want her to feel bad about it, she didn’t have a reason to, after all, he was sure that she had a good reason to be late “Yes, but I can ask the waitress to come back to you can order too”

“Okay good! I’m usually so much better about being on time.” She apologized once more and offered a warm smile. Aria hated to keep people waiting and it was her pet peeve whenever she ran late, but thankfully Declan was understanding and he hadn’t been waiting long. “Oh I’m sure she’ll come around.” She sat down and glanced at the menu already knowing what she wanted to eat. “So tell me what’s been going on with you D?”
