hi! time for a new intro post.

who am i: i'm ari! i'm a jewish, queer, nonbinary author of both romances and fantasy. and fantasy romances. basically, if people are falling in love and making really bad decisions while doing it, whether that's in our world or other worlds, i'm ALL about it. i am a huge hockey fan (i primarily follow the flyers and the habs, so basically rip to my blood pressure for the next 3-5 years) and read way too much about the sport. feel free to say hi, i love to hear from you!

Did you really name a hockey related character Cam Bennett?

yes? why? is there a specific hockey-related reason not to that you are assuming i should know. there are a bunch of different people with that name if you google, it's not like there's just one. and this happens when you name characters the way i usually do, which is picking common baby names from the year the character was born + most common surnames in the country and area and finding a combination that sounds right and fits the character. there's a boxer named danny garcia. there's a baseball player named sean murphy. there's a million ryan sullivans. there is a hockey player on eliteprospects named aiden campbell as well as several other aiden campbells. etc.

also if this is because it sounds like sam bennett his name is cameron so 🤷🏻

I require more jammer (please read this as me spinning The Guy around in my head rather than making a demand).

i have some bad news, and some good news.

the bad news is, as i have said elsewhere (not sure if you've seen it or not), that jammer is way too well-adjusted to write a romance novel about. like he's just worked a lot on himself, gone to a lot of therapy, and he's just way too easy-going and mature for there to be any real kind of drama around him. so basically, not an ari baran protagonist (probably fortunately for him lmao).

however, i do have good news—he has a small role in unsportsmanlike conduct and you will get to see a little bit of him and a happy relationship beginning for him. 👀
