So, here’s the details on my new diet plan!
Like I said in my original post, the diet plan is long and extreme, but by the end of it, you’ll be able to go back to a normal eating plan (if you want to). There’s a total of four diets within this diet plan, the diet plan will last for two months or three months if you want to go back to a normal diet plan.
1st Diet: Water Fast – Two weeks
The first diet is going to be a Water Fast. The rules are fairly easy, you can’t eat anything and you’re only allowed to drink water, tea and coffee if you want (no sugar added). If you have never fasted before, I do not recommend you starting a water fast as long as two weeks for two reasons: you’re not used to it and most importantly, you don’t know if your body is able to endure this. I recommend first starting with a few days and if you feel like you’re feeling okay, then you can do the two weeks. If you think a water fast is too extreme, you can always do a juice cleanse. Honestly, I created this diet plan to suit my habits and what I want, but there’s no need for you to follow this to the t. You should do what feels right.
2nd Diet: Water Fast Break – One week
Breaking a fast properly is so important, you can’t just eat a gigantic meal after not eating for two weeks. We will slowly increase the calories as well as the density of your food. Here are the number of calories as well as the type of food to eat for the week.
Day 1: 100 cals – Juice & Smoothies
Day 2: 200 cals – Juice & Watery Fruits (ex: Watermelon)
Day 3: 300 cals – Watery Fruits & Watery veggies (ex: Cucumbers)
Day 4: 400 cals – Fruits, Veggies & Yogurt (I personally like vegan ones)
Day 5: 500 cals – Fruits, Veggies, Yogurt & Nuts
Day 6: 600 cals – Fruits, Veggies, Yogurt, Nuts & Carbs
Day 7: 700 cals – Fruits, Veggies, Yogurt, Nuts, Carbs & Meat if you eat it ( I don’t)
3rd Diet: IU Diet – One Week
Anyone familiar with Kpop diet knows this diet. It’s kind of boring but honestly, I am a boring eater so I don’t really mind. The diet is easy, you have three “meals” a day, each day of the diet will have the same meal plan.
Breakfast – One apple
Lunch – One sweet potato
Dinner – One protein shake (or one cup of yogurt or one cup of soy milk in my variation)
Once again, you can change anything, if you don’t like apples, you can always switch the breakfast for a pear for example. If you feel like the diet is too extreme, you can change it to suit your needs.
4th Diet: The Paper Cup Diet – One Month (30 days)
Once again, if you know Kpop diets, you probably know this one. The concept is easy, three cups per meal, three meal a day so a total of nine cups per day. You should use 9oz paper cups. So here is the meals plan.
Breakfast:
- 1 cup of milk (or dairy free milk) or a cup of yogurt
- 2 cups of fruits
Lunch:
- 1 cup of protein (I personally do half sometimes)
- 1 cup of carbs
- 1 cup of veggies
Dinner:
- 2 cups of veggies
- 1 cup of fruits
Please don’t do less that this number of cups, the goals is to stabilize the weight that you now have and lose more if you’re still not “skinny”. I did this diet before and I personally used to lose 1,5kg a week (3,3 lbs) even though I would snack pretty often.
How to go back to a normal diet
Okay, so this diet will depend on several aspects. The first thing you need to do is find the number of calories you need to eat to keep you weight, you can find this anywhere on the internet. We’ll do an example using my goals weight and my height:- Let’s say by the end of those diets I weight 42kg (92,4lbs), my height is 157cm (5’2).- Using a website, I realized that I need to eat 1561 calories per day to maintain my weight. - However, after restricting for such a long time, your metabolism should have lowered by 20%, so the new amount of calories that I should eat to maintain my weight is 1249 calories.- Now, you should eat this amount of calories until you start to lose weight again. When you start to lose weight again, it’s a sign that your metabolism has come back to its original and you can start eating the first amount of calories per day we calculated.- Count your calories for about 21 days to one month, by that time, you’ll be used to this and you can start eating intuitively.- Weight yourself every week for the first month after starting to intuitively eat to make sur that you are keeping around the same weight.
