JONAH FORD:
“It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” Jonah replied with the same genuine hospitality that he was currently getting, because who honestly can not resist that optimistic atmosphere that currently surrounded the other girl? So, instead of grimacing, he smiled wide and pretty, wrapping his long arms around the other girl in greeting. “Hi,” he repeated with soft tone as the smile turned into a grin, as Ariel finally let go of him and let him into the room. It hasn’t changed much as to the last time Jonah had been here, only a few things like decoration and beds. He laughed as he remembered her old roommate, before shaking himself out of his thoughts and locking eyes with Ariel. “So, where’s the roommate?” Jonah questioned with pure curiosity, walking forward to take in more of the room before peering at his companion over his shoulder. Yeah, Jonah thought. Hasn’t quite changed a bit. “She’s not gonna mind me, you know, over? Or get the wrong idea, or somethin’? Because I’m not exactly sure if gossip is a good for everyone’s sanity, right now, you know?” He motioned his hands to himself then towards the floor, and if the tiniest smile peeked from his lips again, Jonah didn’t acknowledge it because he was too busy staring at the room and it’s decor to notice.
Jonah doesn’t know what’s happening. He doesn’t know why he’s smiling, or why he’s letting himself plop onto Ariel’s bed as if it’s his room, or why he’s looking at her with a raised brow. Jonah’s not quite sure what’s happening anymore because the delirious state in his mind had taken over and it’s a tell-tale sign that he’s on the peek of needing sleep while not actually being able to sleep. Jonah would really like a good book now, actually. “So,” Jonah drawled out casually, looking around before glancing back at Ariel. “What now? Because I’m 79% sure I’m going to knock out dead as day in your room in about an hour or so because it’s too damn early, but since you’re actually kind of alright as a human being and so you won’t hold gossip girl over me, decided to pay you a visit because I’m such a good friend, right?” Jonah nodded along his own words as if he was agreeing with himself, because he was that kind of cocky, before giving Ariel another pointed look and a small grin. “Yeah.”
ARIEL WHITNEY:
"It sure has and I swear if you tell anyone that I missed you, I will kill you in her sleep," she said sarcastically. They had the kind of friendship where they could just joke around and be comfortable around it. It was great being around someone again, someone she could trust. After everything that has happened the past few days, she questioned people's intentions and became paranoid over anything and everything. "Umm...I honestly don't know. I sort of haven't been in my room all day," she said, trying to not bring up what she had really spent most of her afternoon doing. "No, Haley is really cool. She's one of the nicest people that I have met at Windsor. She won't get the wrong idea. She knows me pretty well to know when a guy is coming over for other reasons. Yeah, I know. I'm glad that you don't have to deal with that. They've said some pretty harsh things about Bowen and me, but I try to not let it get to me. I mean who spends their time talking shit about others? I don't get people sometimes. I'm glad you aren't one of those people," she said, as she flashed a genuine smile at him. Out of all the boys that she had met at Windsor, Jonah was one of the only people that she felt that she could get along with. She felt that most guys here were either trying to get into her pants or were straight up assholes.
She sat next to him on her bed, just happy to have some company at once. She wished that Bowen was here, but he was away at his grandparents' house with Darcy and she knew that he needed time to himself. She hated feeling like a burden and wished that she wasn't becoming one to Jonah. "Well, there's tons of movies. I can make you food, if you're hungry. You know how great of a cook I am. There's also leftover sweets in my refrigerator. There's tons of alcohol. I'm sure that drinking tonight might not be the best idea, but that's a suggestion. Kind of alright? I am deeply offended. I went from Catwoman to a kind of alright human being? I'm shocked, Ford," she said, joking with him of course. She laughed at the mention of Gossip Girl. "I'm never going to let you live that down, Jonah. You are a good friend, especially when I need a distraction. So, how have you been? We really haven't had a true conversation in a while besides the few times that we have texted."
