ok sorry to double reblog BUT I just looked him up and he does these fantastic videos where he breaks down HOW he actually mimics the other artists’ styles. Like for ed Sheeran, he explains how he brings his voice forward in the mouth, while Adam Levine sings in the back of the mouth, stuff like that. It’s SO COOL, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone actually break down how to do this sort of thing, as a skill, instead of just treating it like a neat trick they just happen to be good at. https://www.tiktok.com/@justinjmooremusic
Check him out he’s so cool
i would like to officially thank sesame for its seeds, its oil, and of course its street
couldn’t leave this in the tags
SO I FIND OUT MY FRIENDS AND I ARE ON OUR LOCAL NEWS WEBSITE
We were asked all these questions about how long the costumes took us, how we did it, etc.
I paused the video right when we were asked how much money we spent on our cosplays and

Submitter comment: I'd like to submit this '[s]tudy of defensive behavior of a venomous snake as a new approach to understand snakebite' not for it's topic (worth studying!) but for it's insane methodology, which... well, I'll just let the researcher speak for himself:
[Q: Why did you decide to do this experiment?
A: Snake behavior has been generally neglected as a field of research, especially in Brazil. And most studies don’t examine what factors make them want to bite. If you study malaria, you can research the parasite that causes the disease—but if you don’t study the mosquito that carries it, you will never solve the problem. Up until now, the popular wisdom was that the jararaca would only attack if you touched it or stepped on it. But that was not what we found.
Q: Why did you need to be the victim?
A: The best way to do this research is to put snakes and a human together. In this case, the human was me. We put the snakes inside a ring on the floor of our lab until they got used to it, then I stepped in wearing special protective boots. I stepped close to the snake and also lightly on top of it. I didn’t put my whole weight on my foot, so I did not hurt the snakes. I tested 116 animals and stepped 30 times on every animal, totaling 40,480 steps.]
From the recent (aptly named) interview: Researcher steps on deadly vipers 40,000 times to better predict snakebites
Science.
scientific fact
this is the funniest thing I’ve seen in weeks
old deer coincidental framing concepts
“the millenium falcon would wipe out the enterprise in seconds” lmao the enterprise is just an innocent science class floating thru space…. all they wanna do is look at some rocks… kiss an alien…. find some space plants….. why would you fight that its not a battleship theyre just nerds…… leave them olone
A friend of mine saw this and brought up some interesting arguments
so, in other words,
Pretty much.
here have some size comparison
Who wins in a fight, a fully staffed Navy research vessel or your local weed man and his best friend in their souped up VW Bus?
tags via @procrastinatorproject
So while it’s true that the Enterprise is not as big as people think, that goes double for the Falcon!
A good way of thinking about the relative size is by using a bridge comparison:
The Enterprise bridge has space for 11 people to work, as well as a significant amount of space between stations to move around comfortably:
[Bridge illustration by Tobias Weinmann via here]
And the whole thing fits in the nipple thing up on top of the saucer:
Meanwhile the Falcon (beloved weed bus) has a cockpit that seats 4, with only 2 main operational stations, and zero floor space:
And since Serenity was mentioned too…
Serenity has a bridge more comparable to La Sirena - with 2 stations at the front and quite a bit of floor space.
And for those interested in a visual comparison:
(Boeing 747 for scale as well as the Delta Flyer because Why Not)
TLDR: The Millennium Falcon is pretty dinky, so I propose *true weed bus status* goes to the excellent smuggling ships of Serenity and La Sirena. The Falcon is herby demoted to man on his weed bicycle with his pet monkey and a gun (to be clear the monkey is Solo)
This is the analysis I am here for
I was gonna say it’s more like a weed guy and his 1986 Honda Civic hatchback.
just saw a commercial for a brand of pads that boasted "up to zero leaks." up to zero? so zero and any other amount? that means nothing. that is an un-statement
I've seen that one! If I remember right, it also boasts "up to zero feel."
I hate it!
Was looking through my stash and found this lovely panel with some coordinating fabric.
I knew immediately which pattern I had picked for this, and since it’s a relatively quick quilt to put together, I figured I aught to get ‘er done.
Now. Should I save this for my mum who LOVES sailboats (whose birthday is in November), or see if anyone wants it and do something else for Mum?
Edit: my mum saw the panel laid out on the table when she came over and just stared at me with big wide eyes. It’s definitely going to her LMAO
(Also, if anyone ever has trouble ironing their long seams in a straight line, I highly recommend a 4 foot aluminium ruler from a hardware store. The thing is a beast and is always straight as a whistle.)
So pretty 💖
Time to trim up the strip piecing and then put together the corner squares!
All done! I love the swirls I used in the quilting, looks like waves in the water and wind in the sky.
I picked a matching blue from Northcott’s Chroma line for the backing and I love it.
Mum loves it of course! I think it’s lovely enough to use in the warmer weather and then put on the wall as a massive wall hanging in the winter.
