Hello! I'm Arikuraaa/Percy (They/Them)! Here’s my little side blog where I post the silly sometimes chaotic stuff! Yes this is an excessive amount of exclamation marks!

I'm just an art enthusiast who's currently really into silly cats, silly posts, and a princess with her ambiguous elf boy. Persona 3 is also up there. Just a little.

I'm currently working the absolutely gargantuan task of reanimating P3 Reload's Awakening scene in the game's 2D style, so expect most of my personal posts to be progress work from that. If it’s not that, then it’s probably me just rambling about whatever I’m thinking about- which has lately been something to do with UE4.

I have a bluesky now! Cause of the character limit, my drawing descriptions are probably gonna be a little more to the point. I might update there before I update here just cause I forget to update Tumblr a lot (oops) but I’ll probably dump more of my thoughts and notes on here.

A little bit ago I started learning CSS for a fic concept I had, involving the story visually breaking down on Ao3. While I'm still nowhere close to doing anything with that concept, I did get super into CSS, and ended up making this instead. The format was super loosely based on the femc blog picture my emotional support person and partner in crime @mangomudkips showed me a while back.

The code is crude, but it works.

Yelling to the void because I need to put it somewhere, but I spent a month or so during my hyper-fixation documenting random things about P3R. Mostly collecting stuff I thought I might need for my own projects, or documentation I couldn't find anywhere else. Posting to the void, but if anyone wants the chaotic mess of resources and file locations I categorized forever ago, here it is.

This assumes you already know how to set up Fmodel, but I probably have a walk through for that floating around somewhere too.

I have the problem of "I like making documentation/teaching people stuff, AND have a terrible memory."

Mostly things I kept forgetting (a fancy sticky note) and models. I don't really update it anymore, but maybe someday I'll at least finish categorizing Voice_Dungeon.

Basic Fandom Etiquette Everyone Needs to Remember:

Creators do not owe anyone content. Do not ask writers when they will update.

If an author did not ask for [negative] criticism , do not give criticism.

Read the tags carefully before reading a fanfic.

If you ignored the tags and were upset, that is your responsibility, not the creator’s.

Disliking a ship does NOT give you the right to attack people who enjoy it.

Do not tell authors or shippers that their ship is “disgusting,” “wrong,” or “shouldn’t exist.” Shipping fictional characters is not a moral failing.

No one is obligated to justify why they ship two fictional characters.

Headcanons are PERSONAL interpretations, not universal truth.

Dark themes in fiction do not equal real life beliefs or intentions.

Leaving kudos or short positive comments genuinely matters.

Not every fanwork is made for you, and that is okay.

Scrolling past content you dislike is better than engaging negatively

Enjoying a fandom later than others does not make someone less of a fan.

Disliking a fanfic does not entitle you to announce that to its creator. Sending hate comments to authors is NEVER justified, even if you disliked the work.

So I’ve been playing through Nier Automata and live updating @mangomudkips whenever I remember to, or if I get to a section I find entertaining. The whole “when I remember to” part makes for some amazing non sequiturs.

Here’s some of my favs (mentions of story or mechanics spoilers ahead)

some added context: I was complaining about Loss because I am notoriously directionally challenged and didn’t know what the best way to cross the chasm was. I ended up figuring out it was basically a diagonal line and a bit of luck after restarting three times (four if you count the skill issue I had literally five seconds later with 9S)

The unavailable note was just a comment on how they were watching me play Nier for the first time.

I almost exclusively play Nier after 7 pm, so the copied city really was like a flashbang went off after spending a while getting very lost in the caves. Yes, I’m that directionally challenged :,)

I’m also realizing I never DID self destruct…

Honorable mentions that didn’t make it on here because they didn’t read very well include:

the conversation about ****, the dreaded 90 percent opaque yellow filter (some kind of graphics error that happened once because??? I honestly don’t remember what triggered it.), the weezer blue joke and finally, 9S censoring Jean-Paul’s name.

Part 2. Where Eucalyptus chooses violence, I cram way too many words into the dialogue box for the hell of it, and I get to rediscover some old stuff I completely forgot about.

Yelling into the void cause It’s been on my mind for a bit now, but I SUCK at communicating through text. I rely entirely on being able to hear or see a person to talk effectively and sound semi natural doing so, and have a bad habit of wanting to provide as much information as I have which can come across as shitty. I’m also SUPER straightforward and dry, which turns texts/emails into a guessing game of “am I being too nice or too rude?” And sometimes leads my tone through text to go back and forth.

If I’m over explaining, PLEASE let me know! It’s much easier for you to tell me directly what you want/don’t need to know than it is for me to guess. I find emails and texts really stressful and prefer talking to someone directly for this exact reason.
