They wouldn’t stop yelling, it wasn’t at him, but rather about him. He felt like a disappointment, he couldn’t handle himself. So, he ran, he ran as fast as he could. He had a water bottle in hand and a backpack on his shoulder. It felt like he was running forever, at first he could hear them yelling at him still “come back!”, “stop!”, and “wait!” they said, but it slowly got quieter and quieter. All he could here now was his feet against the floor.

Thump Thump

He stopped, he thought he knew where he was, but he didn’t know really. He was in the woods somewhere, not seen to anyone. He tried to catch his breath, but failed. He was crying? He hadn’t noticed, but that’s when he broke down, he cried for what it felt like hours.

When he finally calmed down, he wiped his eyes and took a look around him, he found it peaceful. He just sat there, listening.

All is well.
