grades are everything wrong with the academic system, people should be focused on understanding the material they’re working with, not on getting good grades. 

you can get good grades and not understand a lick of the material just because you had good attendance or some shit, and you can get bad grades and absolutely understand whats going on with the material but if you missed class you could get a poor grade. 

fuck awful. fucking broken. and grades are the literal deciding factor in if you’ll be able to move on with your academic pursuits, assuming you need say… your ph.d paid for or something stg.

Growing up in a shitty abusive household, i couldn’t do homework and i had spotty attendance. Luckily i was pretty smart, i passed high school by passing my exams with very high scores. My teachers found this frustrating and comical because i would shrug when they asked me why. This got me a 1.5 gpa and i graduated high school by the skin of my teeth with no shot at really going anywhere, despite the fact i was a “gifted” child who grasped concepts pretty easily. Literally no one cares about knowledge or understanding, and it’s kills the future of a lot of children, especially poor ones.

[i was being hyperbolic when i said everything yall i know theres other things] i literally graduated high school by pure chance I was too mentally ill to show up to school enough, if my teachers had actually given a shit about attendance I wouldn’t have graduated. period. and I got perfect scores on all the tests, but had I went to ANY OTHER SCHOOL I would have failed out on attendance alone. grades mean fuck all regarding comprehension.

Maybe if you actually did a little research you’d see that Person of the Year is not about virtue or positivity, its always been about influence and impact and there is no denying that Trump defined 2016 even if it was in the worst possible way.

The framing of the cover is deliberately arranged so the M appears like devil horns on his head, and the posing is deliberately set to mirror the Time cover from 1941 depicting Hitler. Time also published numerous articles in 2016 heavily criticizing him; the August 22 cover of last year featured Trump’s melting face with the headline MELTDOWN (because he was having another one; I can’t tell you which one at this point, there’s been so many, but I’m sure it’s on Twitter).

Time absolutely gets to be indignant.
