If you're creative some people will try and walk all over you. Make sure you stand your ground, you're not to be taken for granted.

THIS IS HOW WE DO
Tips on how to survive college:
1.) Don't choose 7:30am class. Just because you did it in high school, doesn't mean you can do it again in college. Trust me, if you're not a morning person, this one can cause you another sem and summer classes. Haha
2.) Math classes shouldn't be your first. Aside from the fact that math can drain your body and soul, haha Math class should at least be one of the priorities next to your majors. You need to attend the class from start to finish. Not unless you're a genius on this.
3.) Learn to summarize what your professor is sayin' and take down notes. Your notes are your saving glory. Who knows, your professor may allow open-notes quizzes?
4.) Be friendly to guards and utility men. They're important as much as your bff. Let's call this networking. (wink)
5.) Join orgs, (not orgy, please!) to expand your horizon and to feed your hungry soul while studying. Just don't forget that academic is the main goal why you're in school.
6.) Find a tambayan. Your comfy place where you can review, take a nap, chat with your barkadas, charge your gadgets, take selfies, during your long break. You don't want to wander around the campus for your whole life in college.
7.) Learn to make sipsip to your professors. Back in high school, this one is a taboo. But in college, being close to your professors can get you a lot of benefits. Not to ask for high grades, but to have at least a deeper understanding of your subjects.
8.) Be friends with people who have the same goal as you–to graduate on time. Not that I'm telling you to snob tambay students, but being surrounded with people who know their true purpose in college makes a big difference.
9.) Don't be afraid to try new things, but know your limitations. I know, you're done with your experimental teenage stage. But the temptation in college is a lot stronger. Don't do things that you might regret in the end.
10.) The most important of all, have fun! Learning is fun! Don't stress yourself too much on figures. When you deeply understand what you're studying, high grades can easily be attained.
