THISSSSSSS!!!!!!! curate your own internet experience. block them because theyāre allergic to peanut butter, block them because they have what you donāt, block them because they dislike your favorite food, block them because you donāt like their layout, block them because you can.
blocking is NOT a personal attack against someone. itās you curating your own internet experience and catering for your comfort, and you have every right to do that.
you, yes, you!!! you CANNOT tell other people to censor themselves for your own comfort and personal likings. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canāt post. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canāt write. you CANNOT tell them what they can or canāt draw. BUT you CAN block them for whatever reason.
that block button is offered to you for free. use. it.
THE BUTCHER / THE BUTCHERED
wanting to draw a character yet unable to draw them purely out of the lack of motivation and/or can't draw their features correctly is a WHOLE nother kind of pain and I have to deal with it daily. why does it have to be like this
I love that since Project Hail Mary, everyone is just going around collecting Ryan Goslings like theyāre Pokemon.
Ryland is such a sad lil guy that multiple fandoms have come together to be like, BEHOLD, the Infinite Brothers Glitch.
I decided to watch a ryan gosling space movie about 2-3 months ago and now im crying over blade runner 2049. What happened to my life
I was trying to describe why I loved Blade Runner 2049 to my friend.
Itās a little complicated?
*spoilers*
At that point in time I watched Blade Runner 2049 I was feeling really low and i was thinking about the world so negatively. And I was just thinking that I feel so useless and worthless and unable to do anything to help people and this world because there is just so much and like whatever I do means nothing anyway.
Mind you, I was clowning and bashing on the first movie (sorry not sorry original Blade Runner fans) and i only liked the endāwhen I got to the end of the original blade runner and the tears in the rain speech happened and roi talks about everything he went through and ends it by saying āall those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.ā I was like yeah existentialism like i hate this movie but i liked that moment so it pushed me to watch the next one and then blade runner 2049
Now a critique I heard but donāt necessarily agree with is that the pacing of 2049 was badāpersonally I love the pacing. Movies donāt always have to be attention grabbing āshooty-shooty bang bang!ā And I was able to let my thoughts be quiet
I was also like completely was enamored by the visuals
It kind of feels like visiting a bleak future that will happen, with ads everywhere in your face, smog, more industrialism, homelessness, the rising sea levels because of global warming like everything i kinda expect in the future
And when we meet K and heās just doing his thing and after investigating he has this idea that he could be special, that he could be the child born from a human and a replicant, and mean something (of course Joi was affirming this belief because she is an ai who is attuned to the wants of the customer and instills a confirmation bias in K)
And then its all taken away when it is revealed that he was never the childāhe is just an ordinary replicant.
I was like YEAH
Because i dislike when main characters are special if that makes sense. I love it when its just your average person and they are dragged along into the story. Here, obviously he wasnāt really dragged into it, because he was always a piece to the puzzle.
And in the end he didnāt mean anything to anyone really. He brought deckard and ana together and reunited them and died alone.
But it meant something to me the viewer. We know what he did and what we went through. In a world where everything tells him he means nothing and is hated for being a āskin jobā which btw he didnāt fucking chose to be born so wtf, hate the corporation that made him, anyways
Which i hate ai. I hate ai so much it hurts. I like that theres the distinction between a replicant and what joi isāhe is blood flesh and bone thats been genetically engineered and enhanced which synthetic biologyāhe, through experience has conciousness, had life, has thoughts and feelsābut again joi was never really her own person
And K becomes his own person, he liberates himself, and with his first REAL act of free will, no strings attached, he wants to give someone else that happy ending
And it resonates with me because even though it may mean nothing, ana and deckard might be separated, they might live together away from everyone and not lead the rebellion or whatever, it might amount to nothing in the grand scheme but it means EVERYTHING to them as individuals
And as someone who has struggled with finding purpose in life (but I mean, who doesnāt?) because people say purpose is what you chose it to be or what makes you happy, my thoughts were always like nothing lasts so whats the point
And its true that it doesnāt last but he had that effect. It didnāt have to be that he was this grand āchildā, that he would be leading the revolutionāinstead, his effect, his purpose maybe, his first real choice was to reunite the family, something he never had and
I was thinking about this movie from the context of how people treat others as less than human for their differences but in this movie its that K is a synthetic human and so i was expecting more on these themes of oppression and discrimination of replicants and other people and they didnt deep dive
To sum up; I like the thoughts it provokes more than the movie
I disagree that dying is the most human thing we can do, i think itās having empathy for others and connection, and experience i suppose
I love the concept that love is artificial between k and joi and that the entire movie he seeks love and when he is unable to attain it for himself, he attempts to bring others together and have what he could not
I love that everything is bleak but theres something you can look for even if itās small
I actually really like the music in the movie accompanied by the visuals. I live for a beautiful film aesthetic.
But yeah, these are just the opinions of a mindless jellyfish who doesnāt actually have eyes so what do I know lol

Time to watch Stay 2005 and Blade Runner 2049 back to back, hopefully this will not permanently alter my mental state in any specific way
Officer K š¤ Driver
Lying down in a dreamlike environment with a stab wound after sacrificing their tiny chance for love and family like a ārealā person in order to protect a parent and child with the hopes that theyāll have a safe and better future than heāll ever get
the thing is that when you decide to watch lars and the real girl all you're gonna know ahead of time is that it's a ryan gosling movie from 2007 about a grown man who orders a sex doll online and treats the doll like it's his real girlfriend. and naturally you'll go "what a strange premise for a romcom! surely this movie will primarily be making jokes at the expense of Guy Who Pretends His Doll Is Real." and then 1.5 hours later you'll be sobbing at your stupid kitchen table about family and community and positive representations of mental illness. and youll go what the fuck just happened to me
i will convince all of you of ReplicantLung and its implications
Ficās always have Grace coming back to set after Tom advances on him which allows Tom to keep flirting/breaking down the barrier. BUT what if he doesnāt come back and is just too weirded out by whatever messed up game Ryderās trying to play with Colt (and heās all for messing with his twin but heās not in on the joke but thatās because their is no joke Ryder actually finds him attractive).
So Grace avoids set and only bringās Colt lunch or visits him right outside to keep a low profile and Tom is agonizing over how to get this man to pay attention to him and starts doing what he can but not in a stalker āsends flowers to workā kind of way because he might be a playboy but he isnāt dumb and knows Grace would find that distasteful so he starts doing other things;
Donating science equipment to Graceās school district so thereās enough microscopes that kids donāt have to take turns.
Curating boxes of sample slides to send to the school (he has no idea what heās doing or what it means but he pulls resources to get whatever he thinks is sciencey enough) and maybe one box is a bunch of flowers on microscope slides because he knows an actual bouquet would go unappreciated.
Finds some way to pick up gigs in science periodicals so his picture is in magazines that Ryder knows Graces reads.
Commissioning a script for a movie that would require a molecular biologist knowledgeable on non-water based life form (think along the lines of a Transformers movie) and maybe Tom doesnāt get to interact with Grace but just knowing that the creative team brought him on as a consultant is enough to get his heart racing.
Basically give me yearning Tom Ryder
She would, in fact, download a car
WHY HAVE I SEEN NO ONE TALK ABOUT HOW THE GRACE SCULPTURE LOOKS LIKE THE LITTLE DUDE FROM THIS MEME
THAT WAS LITERALLY MY FIRST THOUGHT UPON SEEING IT IN THE MOVIE
I had to xD
