Crack theory: Vox planned his own suicide (and death of his followers) by gathering them all in an abandoned aquarium with water in it (he is literally stepping in a pool of water at the end of the song) while suspending a bunch of giant heavy ass 1950s TVs from the roof which also happened to have power running through them.
