INTRODUCING INMATE #19941401, KIM JONGIN, otherwise known as KAIĀ ! TRANSFERRING DIRECTLY FROM GOTHAM CITY, HE'S KNOWN FOR WORKING WITH THE LEAGUE OF ASSASSINS, SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HIM, TAKE A LOOK AROUND THE WONDER CITY DISTRICT !
Despite his nature, Jongin wasnāt exactly the most aggressive male known in Arkham City unless he absolutely had no choice but to use violence to get things done. He was a gentlemen with standards and other times, he was a distanced, cunning man. He tries to pretend that lives a normal life; commit a crime, spill a bit of blood then act like nothing ever happened. But in reality, the young man lives a life of madness. Everyone had a weakness but the only thing that mattered was whether or not he wanted people to know about them. Jongin doesnāt intend on letting anyone know his weaknesses, to pretend that he didnāt have any. His life slowly spirals out of control, descending himself deeper into darkness like a black hole. Kim Jongin goes by the name Kai to those in the same gang as him, around Arkham Aslym. But no one knows his story, or his birth name unless he personally tells you and he wasnāt dangerous unless they stepped on his toes; or they were a target.
Kim Jongin was born a normal child at the start of birth; but the difference was, his own fate, his own destiny had already been decided for him. His say didnāt matter with rather no other choice but to comply. He was born mixed in between beauty and danger and while Jongin was smothered with undying love from his mother, his father had been a strict man, making sure that his son grew up right. The man made sure that he learned at a very young age. It wasnāt the life that one normal boy usually had; Jongin had been raised in a house of madness, by a father who was nothing but corrupt.
His fatherā charms managed to have his own mother wrapped around his fatherā finger while she was completely blinded by love, his own malevolent acts had complete control over her body, laced in with his fatal kiss. His mother was no more, while the man had eventually murdered his own wife but unfortunately, Jongin couldnāt escape from his fatherā grasp.
His father had plans for his own son, while his innocence began to slip away at a young age. The man forced him to test his own strengths⦠his own limits, going as far as molding him into someone dangerous and violent like himself. Kim Jonginā heart was once pure, the heart that was much like how his motherā when he had first laid eyes on her. But while his father had decided to break down his bones in order to build them back up to suit his own needs and satisfaction, his heart was slowly tarnishing with darkness.
āYouāre becoming weak, Jongin.ā
Heād hear his father say, shaking his head in disappointment as he told him to try harder. The amount of pressure on his body was hard to bare, feeling as if he was drowning in a pool of his own blood; which had only been an illusion. These tests⦠the training that his father forced to place him into had the sole purpose of trying to test his own strength; remembering the pitch darkness that surrounded him, slowly swallowing him whole⦠his fatherā words whispered against his ears.
He wasnāt about to quit until the man was satisfied; until Jonginā body couldnāt handle it, until it hurt. It took around four years, enduring his fatherā torture and eventually becoming a test subject from his fatherā madness and determination to toughen his son. Heād place, or rather force⦠Jongin in his car at the middle of the night. The man had a mission to complete, rather he had one, people to kill as the man twisted him around with the blood of his enemies. Jongin was sixteen when he committed his first crime.
Kim Jongin was skilled when it came down to staying under the radar, putting on a mask to turn him into someone unrecognizable, when the criminal didnāt want to be found; one of the many skills that his father had taught him. He hadnāt seen his father in months as the man had previously sacrificed himself for his own son and now the man was sentenced for a lifetime in jail. Kim Jongin had mixed feelings; he hadnāt felt any remorse or not to mention sympathy for the man at all but then again, Jongin⦠or Kai, thanked him for turning him into a stronger man.
He turned twenty when Jongin decided to run off, leaving the ruins⦠his home that was nothing but a memory now and all he could hear back then was the muffled echoes inside his head, the voice of his father as well as the haunting of the dead of night. That was around the same time he had run into a stranger; Kim Jongin had placed both his hands inside his pockets, asking the stranger how he could be of assistance. Or what he wanted.
āYouāre quite a decent man.ā Heād say, guaranteeing that Kim Jongin had the chance to be one of the best assassins in all of Arkham City.
Kai was his name, heād tell him and it was no use asking about his past or his story because it didnāt matter anymore. Except that was more of a lie on his part.
