We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:

                                 Anubis, the God of Embalming and the Dead,                                             whose origins stem from Ancient Egypt.                                                He is now the owner of Stop&Paws.

FC NAME/GROUP: Koya Rosario Elliot (Elly)/ EXILE TRIBE (J Soul Brothers) GOD NAME: Anubis PANTHEON: Egyptian OCCUPATION: Owner of Stop & Paws Pet Shop HEIGHT: 6’4” DEFINING FEATURES: Anubis has tattoos that decorate his skin in black ink from torso to arms to neck.

PERSONALITY: Due to his isolation in the underworld for such a long period of time Anubis tends to stick to the strong silent type cliche. While he has a heart of gold under all that quiet gruff it takes some patience to get to it. He has a soft spot for animals (specifically dogs) and weirdly has a dark sense of humor that will peek out every once in a while.

HISTORY: All Anubis had ever known was darkness. Metaphorically speaking, at least, since any elementary text book will tell you that his kingdom looked more like the endless sand dunes of Egypt. The darkness came from the judgement he would have to make on every soul that passed through his dominion and it was a plethora of souls he had resided over. He could remember the faces of every soul whose heart was light but there were too many on the opposite end of the scale that they were a blur of sadness and anger. Eventually the jaded god decided that maybe it was time to take a vacation, at the insistence of Osiris of course, and headed into the human world with a new human form. Earth was much different than he expected. While he knew there were the dark and dangerous parts to every city he visited he mostly saw the beauty in everything. The lights of the city, the laughter of children, and dogs were all things that made him realize that humanity might not be so bad. He had friends and lovers in his time on earth that made him almost hesitant to go back, but no one else could do his job but him. At least that’s what he initially thought. Anubis spent the start of his time back at work looking for apprentices to help him do his work so he could return to the human world. He was mostly concerned with the soul judging though he also had the task to look after the tombs that littered the land of his home country. He wasn’t as concerned with that since most of the tombs had been raided and ransacked long ago and hardly anyone embalms their corpses in the present time anyway. Once he was satisfied with his successor he took off back to the human world and managed to get a pretty sweet deal on a pet shop on an island made for beings like him: Mount Phoenix. Here he could feel at home

POWERS: Anubis has the ability to grab onto a mortal’s heart and keep him alive. While holding onto the heart he can witness and recall all of the guilt and sin that weighs on that person. He doesn’t like the guilt trip it results in so he tends to avoid doing it. He is also an empath and can sense the changing emotions in another person if he so chooses. He has a small ability to speak to the dead. STRENGTHS: Honest, Loyal, Animal lover, Good sense of humor WEAKNESSES: Temperamental, Judgemental, Quiet
