the Performance system (12U or 18U) was developped as transportable and “patch friendly” Eurorack cases for quick set ups at venues and rehersals :

- have an ideal access to modules , whithout any sides in the way ,   panels flush to the case’s s borders

-have different angles  for the cases in play  positions. ( wallet or book config)

-  be able to split the system to go out with either case for lighter sets , with the help of an  an extra lid .

-very special attention regarding weight and robustness , using marine grade materials . This one weighing  just 7.9kgs  , 8.6Kg  powered. For 588 HPs…..

-tough paint covering in two thick layers , with a lively reptile surface pattern.

I chose paint over fabric , as ponctual maintenance is possible , or even complete relooking, in case of bruises and scratches  , for the  wild Modular Cat  you may be .(survival Kit included).

-Evolutive if need be , as you could first get a 6U or 9U with lid , then upgrade to the full 12U or 18U Performance system.

I met Alex Augier at a gig , I had my 18U there and Alex showed interest in having a small modular system at first to complement his already impressive audio visual set up http://www.alexaugier.com/oqpo_oooo/ , so we went the slow way up to this 6U/12U combination thing , that I call the evolutive 12U , First one carry on 6U with Lid , patch friendly of course , then the other parts to make it a full Performance 12U system plus the option of still having the lid to go out either 6 or 12U on stage. The lid may someday make another skiff if needed (But i am not pushing here Alex ,I swear) This evolutive solution , if appealing for starting a progressive system , can only available to patchers ready to bring back or send their 6U for transformation at the workshop ( Le Pré St Gervais /Paris, France) It is of course available as a one shot system too!

J'ai croisé Alex Augier sur un concert , j'avais mon 18U et Alex a montré son intérêt pour un petit système pour faire évoluer son set audio visuel déjà impressionnant , il avait ce soir là déployé son "CUBE" http://www.alexaugier.com/oqpo_oooo/ Et on est allé tranquillement via la route du simple 6U vers le 12U Performance complet , ce que j'appelle pompeusement the EVOlutive 12UPerformance. D'abord un 6U avec couvercle , prèt pour la route puis après avoir complèté le 6U (on sait que celà peut aller plus vite qu'on ne l'imagine...) l'autre 6U et la partie intercalaire formant ainsi le 12U Performance , il y a des pieds et une poignée supplémentaires , permettant de sortir un 6U ou un 12U , au choix , toujours en config "déjà patchée" bien sûr. Le couvercle , de la même profondeur qu'un boitier , peut ultérieurement aussi devenir un skiff ! Je peux proposer cette solution évolutive à ceux prêts à rapporter leur 6U à l'atelier pour la transformation (3 jours environ) au Pré St Gervais /Paris. Et je peux évidemment réaliser l'ensemble en une opération ...
