Hi, took a little bit to get to this, but it has to do more with who they are as people and what their ideals are. Both have their own issues, and that is not even scratching the surface of the obvious conflict they'd have over morals and other cultural clashes they might encounter. They both view relationships differently (Hux sees them as transactional for example, and unlike Poe, he's never had anything remotely 'positive' as Poe would have) and so the concept of a societal standard 'relationship' wouldn't be too feasible for them if it even comes close to one. I'm not saying this to mean indulgent gingerpilot is bad, btw, I enjoy it. But I'm also a big HUGE fan of their issues and the mental gymnastics you got to do to make them 'work'. I'd love to add more onto this however I'm not that good with words. I might make another post talking about them or draw more serious art to properly depict what I mean in a format I'm comfortable in. They're both complicated people. And with that comes a complicated, third, secret thing. That to me is not romantic in any sense of the word. (Again I don't mind romantic gingerpilot. I enjoy every flavor of them, this is just a personal preference of mine!!!)

was looking for kylo pics on pinterest recently and the amount of genAI reylo pics I got instead.... meanwhile when I look for kylux pics specifically I only find the classics and a few fanarts / edits

I was bit shocked about that tbh, cause usually fandom is pretty anti genAI... but I guess not on the het side of fandoms?? not just reylo btw, also saw some fan made star wars genAi of characters in a non ship context by some dudebro here on tumblr.
