mangalsutra #1 arshi fan in the house !!!
They really disabled Shashi so Khushi feels alone through all that pain omg. The one person who treated Khushi as her own person from day one. The fact that the series never ever gives him any justice is insane 😭 no one finds out what Shyam put him through. I miss him so much genuinely whenever I see older episodes, he was such a good elder figure for her.
I really wonder how much the plot would've changed if my man was fine. He was written to be doubtful of Shyam and he found the truth so say he did get the stroke but recovered enough to speak around the point Payal's engagement was happening and it was revealed before Khushi finds out by him, then how things would've changed 😔
I really wish Khushi didn't have to suffer as much as she did, she's so resilient my gawd, the amount of psychological guilt tripping she had to face through the show was insane. The only reason despite all the shit I can say yes I love this show is probably because Arnav carved a space for Khushi as much as she did for him, Khushi wasn't a manic pixie dream girl for Arnav, he was always soft for the people he loved so I'm thankful it was not once more I can fix him shit. He wholeheartedly participated in the rituals and that in itself was a confession to the importance he gives to Khushi now. If not for that, then this would've been fuck all for me.
But yes, I wish Shashi was there, he has always loved Khushi as she is and he would've been the much needed comfort for her. I so wish they revived him, I think the writers knew the power he held to not let harm come Khushi's way so they shut him up forever 😭
-it has been 15 years but okay, ipkknd spoilers below-
I've decided to just ramble here as I watch the episodes to the abyss whenever I'm losing my mind.

Hi!
Can I ask where you're from and how you started watching IPKKND?
Heyooo. I'm from Tamilnadu! I started watching IPKKND because I wanted to learn Hindi and I was like well I should watch a serial. When I was 11-13 ish I used to randomly watch tamil dubbed Hindi serials here and I remember being so wahhhh about it. So I thought okay let's do this, but didn't seriously consider, I had no idea ipkknd even existed. But somehow I came across an edit where Arnav confronts Dadi and is like Khushi is my wife and she can do whatever she wants. I was immediately enamored cuz I've never seen a male character this obviously being appreciative and defensive of his wife. So I decided to watch it and I was kinda like mhm this bish too mean then once Khushi fired back in the warehouse, I was sold because that balances the dynamic. I obviously loved Khushi immediately cuz I love my resilient energetic kind mastikhor girlies always, so it took me a bit to warm up to Arnav but once I could understand all this internal woo ahh struggles, it was fascinating to watch the push and pull within himself. I love love Khushi so much and I love love Arnav so much now. They're truly fit to handle each other, especially once they're secure in their relationship after remarriage. So yes. That's my IPKKND story, I'm actually still watching it, around 288. I've watched most of the happy scenes between them to handle the angst so I know the overall story outline. I love the series because of the characterization and details across all the characters, the fact Arnav has diabetes and it's used as a device to convey Khushi's attentiveness to him, the fact Anjali is such a layered character and her polio leg is not something that defines her at all, Nani is such a fun yet represents the older generation figure character, like the characterization is just so amazing i can't look away. It's not fully perfect ofc, we've the regressive themes and all that, but overall it's executed in a beautiful way and the fact it's 15 years old is just wahhhh. Ofc the chemistry is mesmerizing and I also love that the cast all became such good set of family friends after the show, it's a slight after sweetness to the series. Haha I can go on and on :D
