Helaena Targaryen, Jaehaera Targaryen & Alicent Hightower House of The Dragon 3.05 - 'Unbowed and Unbent'
I don’t particularly give a fuck about Ser Criston Cole but damn his death was anticlimatic as fuck. Hotd is so committed to not make a single memorable moment in screen.
Sooo @arocknrollswindler finally joins my silly comics, it was long overdue, at the end of the day she's been here since day one and my n1 muse, I don't know why this took me so long
show vs book
but we have rhaenicent!!! you don’t get it!!! that’s true queer rep!!!!

Just read that, for some reason, Ormund is supposed to be "the villain of the season." Are we in Riverdale? There are already a hell of a lot of problems with House of the Dragon but systematically dismantling its central focus, that it’s a civil war between Targaryens, members of the same family, between siblings, is one of the worst choices they could make. Just branding Aegon and his faction (which apparently doesn't exist anymore) as "Hightowers" instead of Targaryens completely destroyed the meaning of the Dance of the Dragons. Now it turns out that Ormund (who gets maybe two lines in the book, just like Gwayne) wants to set up a third claimant under the banner of Oldtown and is apparently in a twisted, abusive relationship with Daeron. I get it. Yeah, no, that’s totally spot-on. great job, everyone.

House of the Dragon is not a real show that you watch, it's just a collection of face claims for Fire & Blood characters.
I really dgaf about hotd, haven't even watched the second season, but it will forever be hilarious how all the asoiaf tumblr scholars/BNF continue to suck its dick sooo much while performatively trashing GoT
It’s genuinely boring, inconsistent, and poorly written. The characters contradict themselves every other episode, and there’s absolutely no consideration for whatever happened in previous seasons. It drives me crazy that people think it’s a good series, I’m not even talking about the book fans, since it bears no resemblance to the book anymore, but as a casual viewer, don’t you feel like you’re treated like an idiot watching something made specifically and exclusively to generate TikTok content?
Why is everyone in a horror movie while Aegon and Larys are in the Office
Condal is such a performative feminist. There's not a single well-written female character in the entire HOTD. One is ready to kill her children in order to stand next to her childhood friend for even a minute. The second one is whining, tearing her dress, and for 3 consecutive seasons, she has not been able to figure out what she wants. And the rest instead of background noise. Feminism is just off the charts
Lmao imagine getting to adapt Fire and Blood a book with the canon character that exists to challenge Targaryen exceptionalism bc she casually domesticated a dragon like it was any feral animal while having physical features that are blatantly not valyrian(tm) and just erasing her and giving her story to a...Targaryen.

Dadan foreshadowing!
When Shanks said, "Come with me, Buggy," on that fateful day in Loguetown, I've always thought of it as him trying to choose his own dream over whatever Roger asked of him before he died.
But of course, Buggy doesn't know that and runs away from him, and Shanks is "burdened with a glorious purpose" after that for 20+ years.
It had all hinged on Buggy, and he doesn't even know that.
