Now that many older Gen Zs are reaching their 20s, I’d love to soon be part of the “older generation” of lgbt-people that the next generation can point to. So that to the next set of queer people “it’s just a phase” will sound like when left-handed people were forced to use their right hand at school.

My favorite thing about humans is that every single human is different in far more different ways than anyone can imagine.

Like we have left handed people, right handed people, people who are ambidextrous in three specific activities. We have people with no mental voice in their heads, sound sensitive people and people who can’t hear at all. People allergic to water, to pollen to grass. People with one color, two colors or eyes changing colors over time. Some have heart-shaped birth-marks, missing limbs and scars shaped like a logo. Some people with their twins DNA in their left foot.

The list goes on and it will never stop. And that’s what I love about humans. There is not a single feature, ability or word you can say that defines us all. You can truly be weird by any standard you pick, and still be an average human being.

People hate on the “special snowflakes” but it truly is remarkable to think of. No matter what, you will always be just like anyone else. And you can find someone else like you in the world

Not gonna lie, I love being Aro Ace. I get to watch people stress over Valentine’s Day and some people passionately tell me everything about how much they absolutely don’t care about the fact that they’re gonna be alone and “imdependent” in valentines.

Bro, we all have the moment we found out about the word asexual and/or aromantic, but what was the tipping point when you started to realize you didn’t feel that type of attraction?

Can you explain what's it like to be aro ace, separately? Should you be in a relationship, what would you feel, according to your both orientations, sexual and romantic. I'm not ace so I don't quite know a thing + I think I'm aro and I also know nothing about what I expect myself to feel.

Being Aromantic means you don’t experience any romantic attraction. When I was a teenager and still didn’t know my sexuality, I really just leaned towards the opposite gender because it was the norm. I didn’t really see any difference between dating the different genders. I just kept on wishing I could skip that dating and flirting and “new love” phase and just jump straight to bros who didn’t really bother with all the romantic stuff anymore and just lived together and chilled.

Being asexual means you have no sexual attraction. It took some time before I actually identified with it, because I kept on getting the definition that “Asexuals are people that don’t want sex”. And that wasn’t me. I was completely indifferent to sex, I just wasn’t sexually attracted to anyone. I can end up staring at people because I love their aestetic, but I keep on getting surprised whenever my friends point out that some random person is “sexy” or “attractive”. And whenever people flirt with me at parties, I really just think sex sounds very boring.

Many friends I’ve had for 5+ years loves to point to the most emotionless characters and say it’s me, and it get’s kinda awkward whenever it’s around someone who knows about the “aro aces are emotionless” stereotype. Sitting there like: “No, it’s not harmful! I genuinely used to be super analytical and show no feelings for a large part of my teenage years. They’re supporting how much I’ve grown since then!”

I keep forgetting that many outside the aromantic and asexual community has never heard about sensual, aestetic, sexual, romantic and platonic attractions sepparately.
