"Under the bed," Sirius's eyes went wide, the hands that had been delicately wrapped around your waist suddenly easing you to the floor, "Hurry, under the bed!"
You were too panicked to hear the footsteps down the hallway but as soon as you tucked your knees into your chest amidst the dust bunnies beneath Sirius's gaudy four-poster bed, you watched the door swing open, hitting the wall and bouncing back.
No one said a word, all you saw were polished black shoes approaching the bed. The tension was killing you, you were silently begging for Sirius to say something already because you weren't sure who was in the room or why you needed to hide so quickly.
You'd heard horror stories of his mother, of course, but you never thought you'd actually be caught by her. Visions of heinous torture flashed through your head as you counted down the seconds to your certain demise, and you barely concealed a scream when a face popped into view, sideways and grinning.
"Oh my god," The boy spoke, his face holding clear resemblance to Sirius's, only thinner and sharper, "He stuffed you under the bed?!"

"Y/N," Sirius's voice was fraught with tension, the edge to it making your stomach twist, "Please, sweetheart, not now."
You hesitated before pressing on, pitiful tears brimming in your eyes as you continued trying to worm into his lap, "But siri-"
"Y/N! I said, not now." Sirius snapped, his hands gently pushing you back into your own seat, "I'm really busy right now, I don't have time for this."
He didn't have time for you.
You felt your tears finally spill, cascading down your cheeks as a whimper bled from your throat. Sirius froze at the sound, finally looking you in the eyes as he set down what he was working on.
"Oh, angel.." He murmured, the tension leaking from his posture, "Come on now, what's with the tears?"
"I had- had a rea-lly bad day!" Sobs interrupted your words, cutting them in half as you trembled slightly, "Jus' wanted t'cuddle!"
Sirius sighed, his grip on your forearm tugging you into his lap, "RIght, c'mere angel. No more tears, c'mon, y'can sit with me for a while."

As dawn breaks over the palace grounds, the mist begins to lift, the air sweet with morning dew. Sirius is glad, as he often is during these early rounds, that he's not required to wear his armor for this task. The woods to the east of the palace are tranquil as he walks on light feet through the damp grass. The calls of swallows, the rustling of the creek, and a soft voice murmuring.
Sirius really contemplates whether he ought to care enough to seek out the source of that last sound. Townspeople find their way onto this part of the grounds often enough, groups of children playing games or teenagers trying to sneak in the palace's back door just to see if they can get away with it. Sirius told James he'd be useless as an enforcer of any rules at this hour, but of course James loves to torment him.
The murmuring is quiet enough that it could be mistaken for the wind. Sirius could feign ignorance of it and pretend he hasn't heard it, but he knows the sounds of this wood well enough to pick out what doesn't belong.
He follows it and finds you kneeling by the creekbed, cupping a frog between your palms.
"Hello."
You turn quickly, and the frog leaps from your hands. Sirius watches as surprise, then disappointment, flit over your face like flickering light, before you tsk, offering him a smile.
"Hello," you reply. "You scared my friend."
Sirius tsks back at you. "I don't think you're supposed to be here."
"I'm not?"
His eyebrows lift. You sound genuinely bemused. "No. Sorry, lovely, but there's another wood across town where you can continue yourâŠwhat are you doing?"
He's lost your attention to the creekbed, your eyes scanning intently. "I'm finding frogs," you say, and thenâyou do. Just like that, you reach for a leaf and a frog Sirius hadn't noticed atop it now rests in your palm. It isn't even squirming.
Sirius leans closer. "Why is it just sitting there?"
"Tree frogs are fairly trusting," you say, lifting your hand up very slowly to peer at the creature. "Once they understand you're not going to harm them, they'll keep you company for a little while."
The way you're cradling the frog so gently, Sirius can see how it'd come to that decision. The little thing looks as content to be in your care as anywhere else. Maybe it trusts you instinctively because of how you so still, or watch it so attentively. Maybe it's how comfortable you look on the bed of grass by the creekbed, and it can't properly distinguish you from the foliage surrounding it.
"Usually, these guys don't come down from the trees after the sun is up," you say, your voice dropping low to avoid disturbing it. "I probably won't see him again, but I'm hoping to meet everyone who lives here before long. He has freckles on his back, see?"
Sirius crouches with you and leans closer. His chin is almost near enough to rest on your shoulder. He can feel its warmth. "Oh, yeah," he says, spotting the nearly imperceptible speckles of brown on the frog's green backside. "He does."
"That's how we'll know it's him," you hum contentedly. "What do you think his name should be?"
"Hm. Ribbit?"
You laugh. It's a sweet, lively sound, not unlike the bubbling of the creek. You quiet it too soon, wary of frightening the creature in your hand.
"Clever," you tease him, "but I think our friend has earned something more unique. He's very brave for coming down here during the day. What do you think of Lancelot?"
Now Sirius laughs. He's careful to do it behind his hand so you don't get upset with him for scaring away your catch yet again. "Why are you asking me?"
"Well, I'm making a guess," you admit. Your gaze dips to the sword's pommel at his hip. "You look like you might be a knight, and I think that would make you the best person to decide whether he's a Lancelot or not."
Sirius blinks. Suddenly, he's unsure how he's found himself kneeling in a patch of mud deliberating with a strange girl about what to name a frog. "You'd be right." He stands, scanning the woods to ensure no one is nearby to have witnessed him. That'd be just what he needs. "He suits Lancelot fine, if you ask me, but I have rounds to finish. Go get acquainted with the frogs in the woods by town, alright? I reckon they're just as friendly over there."
"Okay," you agree placidly. "I'd like to get to know Lancelot a little better if that's okay, but I'll leave in a few minutes. I promise."
And Sirius is forced to confront the idea that he might be as dumb as the frog in your palm, because he believes you. He trusts instinctively that you're the sort of person who keeps promises.
"Okay," he says. He really does need to move on if he's going to get back to the palace in time for breakfast, and he can always check these woods again later to ensure you've truly left. "Give the frogs my best."
"Oh, I'm sure they know they have it. But I'll pass along the message anyway, thanks."
"I hope it was worth getting your trousers muddy," says Remus, forking a piece of fruit. "Molly's not going to be happy with you for doing that just after laundry day."
Sirius waves this off as though Molly Weasley doesn't scare him. (She very much does.) "I'll tell Molly I was saving a damsel from the creek. She could have drowned if not for my heroism."
"You did actually wait to make sure she left, right?" James looks wary.
"Of course," Sirius fibs.
"Okay, great." His friend relaxes, munching on a piece of toast contentedly. "I'm sure the trouser stains will be fine, then."
This is, of course, why James is a better knight than Sirius. They were both raised with the same education and honed the same skills, but James is disciplined. He wakes before sunrise to practice his drills, polishes his armor during his free time, and follows (most of) the rules. If James found you catching frogs by the creek, he would have gallantly escorted you off of the palace grounds. Sirius, only half awake and with a flexible attitude towards rules on his best days, had gotten down there in the muck with you.
Though Sirius' competencies have granted him good standing in the knighthood, he doesn't see himself being made Captain of the Guard or anything like that. He's not sure he'd want to be. He enjoys his position now, so long as it continues allowing him to stay here and spend his free hours with his friends.
James would likely change his tune about rules and propriety if he knew how quickly you've become a resting place for Sirius thoughts, but Sirius doesn't think he'll divulge that. Remus already gives him enough shit for running into things heart-first. A few months ago it was the cook, than the traveling harp-player, then the barmaid in town. Sirius has always been susceptible to a pretty face. It's no surprise that he was so easily captivated by you, though your mesmerism goes beyond your looks.
His mind keeps catching on flashes of your careful hand reaching for a leaf. Of how the dappled sunlight had fallen on your shoulders like kisses of warmth. Of how at home you'd looked in the rising mist of dawn, as though you might vanish with it.
He thinks he might return to that part of the woods later with the excuse of making sure you've gone, but really he'll be hoping you've stayed.
"Sirius?"
He startles at the appearance of the man at his shoulder, nearly dropping his fork. Remus raises an amused brow.
"Morning, Xeno." Sirius puts on a smile, turning. "What can I do for you?"
"Her Majesty has asked for you, when you're done with your breakfast."
He thinks his eyes possibly grow rounder than ever before. "The Queen?"
"Yes," says Xeno mildly.
"Inâwhere, in her quarters?"
"In her sitting room, actually."
"What for?" Sirius looks to his friends instinctively. But James' eyes are as wide as Sirius', and Remus only shrugs.
"I heard the princess is coming back," Dorcas supplies from a few seats down.
Remus makes a sound of intrigue. "For a visit, or for good?"
Dorcas shrugs.
"Mate!" James grabs Sirius' shoulder, shaking him about elatedly. "She's got to be assigning you to the princess' guard. That would be massive!"
Only James could be so genuinely ecstatic for Sirius' achievement, even if they all know he deserves it more himself.
The princess, never seen or known by anyone in the kingdom, was sent away soon after her birth so that she could grow up with an ordinary life. Rumors swirled about what that might entail for a child of the crown, but the most prominent one was that she was being raised by her aunts in the countryside, her identity kept secret. There's been so little news of her for so long, some have even begun to wonder whether there ever was a royal baby. Sirius supposes she'd be all grown up by now, though. Maybe her grandmother finally decided it was time for her to come home.
"I'll, um, yeah." He tries to master his surprise, replying to Xeno, "I'll go in just a minute."
"He'll go now," says James. He stands, hauling Sirius up with him.
Remus chuckles at Sirius' helpless look. "Have fun."
"Try not to fall in love with her." Marlene winks at him. "At least not until you're sure she won't rat you out to her grandmother if it goes south."
"Ha ha," says James, sticking his tongue out at the both of them. "You're all miserly prats."
"You really shouldn't fall in love with her," he says as soon as they leave the dining hall. "I mean, if you can help it. If you can't, then that's fate, and I hope you spend many beautiful years together, but if you can help it, that's probably better. For professional reasons."
"I will do my best," Sirius replies drolly.
"That's all we ever ask." James hooks an arm around Sirius' neck, pulling him close. He plants a happy kiss on Sirius' cheek. "Are you happy? You seem sort of in shock."
"I am in shock." It's the truth, though the other half of it is that Sirius is aghast at himself for his disappointment that this new venture might prevent him going into the woods to see if he can find you again today. He gives his head a rough shake. "It's hardly ten."
James laughs. "If Her Majesty can be awake and alert at ten, I think she'll expect you to be." He gives Sirius' cheek a hearty pat. "Look alive, mate."
Soon, Sirius finds himself at the door in front of the Queen's personal sitting room while James fusses with his hair.
"You've earned this," his friend says, with the kind of unwavering certainty only James has ever been able to feel for Sirius. "You're perfect for the job. She wouldn't have asked for you if she didn't know that, too." He pauses, looking Sirius in the face. "Do you need me to knock for you?"
Sirius takes a breath, banishing you from his mind. He has a princess he has to look out for now, apparently. "I've got it." He reaches for the door and knocks twice.
James grins, squeezing his shoulder. "You'll be brilliant," he says before darting away.
"Come in," a voice calls from inside.
Sirius squares his shoulders as he enters, trying to look very knightly. It's not his first time standing in front of the Queen, though it is the first that he's been summoned specifically and not as a part of some sort of ceremony. His eyes find her quickly in the large room, perched elegantly on the end of a sofa. Sitting on the floor beside Her Majesty is another woman. Legs criss-crossed beneath a coffee table, lifting a pastry towards her mouth with the sort of hand a frog might want to rest in for a while.
Sirius remembers at the last minute not to let his mouth drop open, or to let his posture slump, or to do any of the very unknightly things his body wants to.
But you smile when you see him, and his heart thumps powerfully. "It's you," you say, sounding pleasantly surprised. "Hello again."
Sirius making out with his cute, shy gf for the first time
Sirius Black x fem!reader | 900 words
Tags: shy reader, making out in a semi-public setting, mostly fluff ig nothing graphic
A/N: idk why but I hate how this turned out, I hope someone still enjoys it. I still love the concept of Sirius with a shy gf
Sirius is experienced in comparison to you, to put it politely. To everyone's surprise, not only did he end up in a long-term relationship (nobody saw that one coming), but he ended up with you; a shy, cute wallflower that not many people paid attention to.Â
Sirius loves it. He loves how quiet you are with other people and then talk his ear off in private. He loves that youâre smart and funny, and heâs one of the only people that get to see that side of you.Â
He doesnât mind that being with you means treating you with care and taking things slower than heâs used to.
It's another Hogsmeade weekend, and of course Sirius had promised to take you on a date, as he always did. First he buys you pretty trinkets and sweets, he even endures a few hours at Madam Puddifoot's even though you know he hates it in there, just to make you happy.
Before the two of you return to the castle, you walk hand in hand as he listens to you yapping away about one of your interests.Â
âYou're so cute,â he finally says when you pause for a second.
And you know he's telling the truth because you have his pupils all wide and that stupid, love-struck grin on his lips.Â
âNo, I'm not,â you reply quietly, now with that little flustered smile lighting up your beautiful face.Â
But you are, and he's struggling not to do something completely mental, like squeeze your cheeks or kiss your face off. You see the exact moment in his eyes where some kind of stupid idea pops in his head, and, before you know it or can say anything else, heâs suddenly pulling you along past a few more of the Hogsmeade houses until you end up in a smaller alley, slightly shielded away from potential curious eyes.Â
He finally stops, your position now with your back pressed against one of the house walls and Sirius leaning against you with his hands on the curve of your waist.Â
âWhat are you doing?â you coo, not making it any easier for him to resist what heâs about to do now that your cheeks have turned that pretty shade of pink.Â
His eyes dart down to those perfect lips of yours.
âItâs a surprise,â he replies, barely above a whisper.
He leans in to close the remaining distance between you and captures your lips in a sweet, soft kiss. Heâs gentle at first, testing the waters to make sure heâs not doing anything to make you uncomfortable.Â
But as soon as he realises that youâre kissing him back and youâre not pushing him away or telling him to stop, he gets a little more enthusiastic. One of his hands leaves your waist to cup your cheek, angling your face exactly how he wants it so he can deepen the kiss and actually start moving his lips against yours.
Theyâre so soft, he loves kissing you, but this is the first time youâve ever kissed like this. The way you kiss him back a little tentatively, like youâre scared to do anything wrong, drives him crazy.Â
âYou okay?â he murmurs against your lips, not fully pulling away to speak.Â
Your little hum of agreement sends a shiver down his spine, and he kisses you again, this time gently parting your lips with his tongue to explore your mouth. He canât stop himself from letting out a little hum of approval against your lips either, especially when the kiss grows more intense.
His hand tilts your head to the other side again, and to his delight it seems like youâre not as hesitant to touch him anymore.Â
He loves the way your hands stop clutching at his robes and instead grow a little bolder until one of them tangles in the back of his black hair. He canât resist briefly sinking his teeth into your plush bottom lip just to test your reaction. A deep chuckle rumbles in his chest when you gasp so cutely, and the hand, previously still resting on your waist, wraps around you to pull you in against his body.Â
When he finally has to pull away so both of you can catch your breath, his eyes are dark when they meet yours. You, on the other hand, look delectable. Your lips are red, swollen, and parted slightly to breathe heavily against his own. He leans in one more time to capture them in another heated kiss, one that doesnât last as long as the first one, though.Â
His thumb brushes your flushed cheek when he pulls away for good, however, still holding your small frame tightly to feel your chest rapidly rising and falling against his own.Â
âWe should get back to the castle before someone misses us,â he breathes, his voice all velvety from the kiss.Â
You nod and Sirius finally takes a step back to smooth down your robes and his own hair before the two of you step out of the alley.Â
He looks over at you again and wraps an arm around you this time, his hand coming to rest above your hipbone.
âYouâve gone shy on me, love,â he muses, commenting on your silence.Â
âToo much?â
You shake your head, but your cheeks are a little pinker than they were a moment ago. Sirius swears heâs addicted to how adorable you look right now. Heâs definitely going to have to do that again and soon.Â

Sirius is trying to be comforting, but he keeps getting distracted by the feel of your back underneath his hand. The muscles of your shoulders are tight, your breathing stilted and your skin shiny with a thin layer of sweat. Sirius canât stop thinking about how heâd like to rest his face in between your shoulder blades and kiss an adoring line down your spine. He worries it wouldnât be very helpful.Â
âIâm sorry.â Your voice is quieter than breath, a soft sigh drooping your shoulders as you let your head loll forward.Â
Your body starts to list forward with it. Sirius weaves his arm under yours, settling down more comfortably on the bathroom floor and pulling you back against his chest.Â
âIâm sorry, baby.â He kisses the crown of your head. âI should have warned you about this. I need to remember to be careful with you.âÂ
Caution isnât really in Siriusâ nature, but however unwisely, you put a lot of trust in him. The weed youâd smoked tonight was a different strain than the one heâs shared with you before, but heâd forgotten to clue you in. Youâd matched him hit for hit, and with your lower tolerance it hadnât ended well. Youâve been sick more than once.Â
âYouâre so nice,â you whisper. Your voice sounds tight. Siriusâ chest contracts, worrying youâre starting to get teary. âYou donât have to take care of me, but you are. Youâre so, so nice.â Definitely teary now. âIâm really sorry for ruining your night.âÂ
âAwe, sweetheart.â He kisses the side of your face with something akin to desperation. He already feels like his heart is going to spill right out of his ribcage, and your upset makes it about ten times worse. âYouâre not ruining anything. Of course I have to take care of you, youâre my girl, you know? I want to.âÂ
He peers around you, trying to see your face. Youâve got that same, slightly spaced-out look youâve had for the past hour, a sad little line between your brows. Sirius reaches up to smooth it out with his finger, and you turn toward him like youâd forgotten he was there. He wonders if this much affection can actually crush his bones to dust. It feels plausible.
âI love you,â he says.Â
You sigh, fitting your head into the crook of his neck and shoulder. Itâs not a happy sound, but he knows itâs not meant for him. âYou, too.âÂ
You take his hand, turning it palm up and tracing the lines in his skin. Your touch is so light it tickles. He has a small scar from a failed attempt at cooking with James when he first moved out, and when you get to it you raise his palm to your lips, resting them there purposefully.Â
âCan I have a hug?â you mumble against his skin.Â
âFuck yeah, always.âÂ
Sirius does the work of turning you around, your own coordination not spectacular at the moment, and your arms curl under his arms, wrists crossing between his shoulder blades. He thinks your hands might be making fists. For his part, he rubs up and down your spine slowly, squeezing intermittently, unsure how much you want. Sirius has always been shit at comfort. Heâll keep trying as long as you let him.
âI donât like this,â you admit. Your face feels warm where itâs pressing into his shoulder, and Sirius realizes you might be crying again. He hugs you harder. âI canât think.âÂ
He feels, very acutely, his heart fracturing. âIâm sorry, baby,â he murmurs. âIâm so sorry. I know itâs awful.âÂ
âIâm scared,â you whimper.Â
âI know, sweet girl.â He may well be crushing you now. If your ribs are breaking, you donât seem inclined to say anything about it. âYouâll be okay, though, I promise. Iâve got you. Just try to relax, and Iâll take care of you, yeah?â You donât respond, sniffling. Sirius rubs your back again. âDo you feel like youâre going to be sick any more?âÂ
âI donât know. I donât think so.âÂ
âAlright, my lovely. Letâs go to bed, okay? You might feel better when you wake up.âÂ
You hug him tighter. âThank you for being so nice to me.âÂ
âWrong again,â he says, tucking a kiss into your hair. âIâm not nice to you, I just love you too much.âÂ

"I'd let Sirius Black break my Sirius Back?" The man in front of the camera let out a soft snort, "Alright, extra points to you for the wordplay."
You stifled a giggle at the next tweet in the bunch, swiping sideways on the screen and letting him squint slightly at the text, 'Sirius Black went from 'please let me date your daughter, sir' to, 'your daughter calls me daddy too'.'
He gave a quick eyebrow raise towards the camera as he processed the tweet, "First of all, I never had a respectful teenage boy era. I've always been this terrible. Second, 'Daddy'? 'Think I could get used to that one."
A few of the staff members behind you scoffed teasingly at his confidence, but you spoke up, "Well, that's good, because I don't think a single tweet from now on doesn't use that word."
omg i loved how you writed that request with Sirius đ„ș

Sirius traipsed up the stairs, socked feet doing little to conceal his presence. His heavy footsteps thundered down the hallway towards your room, seeing the wood slab cracked slightly open. He picked up soft cries spilling through the gap in the door, chest tightening as his brows furrowed with worry. He gently pushed the door open, seeing a little lump under the heavy comforter on your bed, shaking like a leaf.
He let out a soft sigh, one hand reaching for the hem of the blanket while the other rested gently on your back, âHey there, pretty girl. âS somethinâ wrong?â
You felt the blanket slide off of your head, blinking tearily up at Sirius who peered down at you, a pitiful whine slipping from your lips, âSiri...â
He let out a soft coo, reaching down to scoop you out from under the blankets as he took your place. He leaned back against the headboard of your bed, letting your head slump tiredly onto his chest as his hand came up to rub soothing circles over your back, âCâmon then mâsweet girl, whatâs the trouble?â
âHad a bad day,â You wailed, âNothinâs goinâ right, ân I just wanna be alone, and-â
âDo yâwant me to leave, baby?â Sirius cut in, voice as gentle as the feather light touches he was spreading over your back.Â
You shook your head fervently, legs curling tighter around his waist as did your arms around his neck, âNo! No, not alone, jusâ in here. âWant you tâstay, Siri.â
âRight then,â Sirius smiled softly down at you, one hand lifting itself off of your back to brush away a stray tear down your cheek, âLetâs get those tears to go away, then we can have something to eat, okay?â
You nodded silently on his chest, letting your eyes drift shut in the hopes that no more tears would escape. You felt the knot of sadness that had been straining and straining all day loosen itself gently with every simple stroke of Siriusâs hand along your back, finally coming undone when he crooned a soft, âThatâs mâgood girl.â

combined with:
Sirius and reader seeing their baby girl take her first steps?
I know ist too late for Sirius day...but could you imagine Sirius's daughter chaising him around the house with a cat in her hands lol!
--
The first time Sirius feels her kick, she's only a few months old. You're sitting on the couch, Sirius's head leaned back against your swollen belly as you read softly to him.
You don't have enough time to warn Sirius when you feel a soft tug at the inside of your tummy, the baby's foot driving right into the back of Sirius's head. He yelped indignantly, turning around to stare bewilderedly at your once more immobile stomach.
"Babe! She kicked me!"
You giggled at his giddiness, gently rubbing the affected spot on his head. He brought a hand up to poke gently at your stomach, grinning when another kick disfigured your perfectly round belly.
"Lookat 'er! We're gonna have to put her up for soccer, she's a kicker."
--
The first time Sirius sees her walk, you're waking him up from a nap after work. Your daughter is clutching your pointer fingers in her tiny little hands, legs wobbly as you stand her up on the bed.
"Go get him, baby," You coo, gently prying her fingers off of your own and smacking Sirius's foot to wake him up.
He awakens with a startled gasp, and his eyes only widen further as he watches your daughter toddle towards him.
A drowsy grin grows on his lips and he flings his arms open, letting her reach him and step on his belly with her little socked feet before he captured her, wrapping her up in his strong arms and smothering her little face in kisses.
She squealed in delight, tiny hands coming up to brace themselves on his face as he continued attacking her. You watched with a fond smile, camera in hand as you took a few snapshots, preserving the moment forever.
--
The first time she meets padfoot, she's wailing in her crib at two in the morning. Sirius had insisted that he'd 'got this one', but as you laid awake in bed, staring at the ceiling, the desperate cries of your daughter filling the house, it was clear that he did not 'got it'.
You finally decided to help him after an agonizing five minutes of screaming, but just as you crossed the threshold out into the hallway, her crying stopped, and so did your heart. You felt your stomach sink, thinking about her having dropped unconscious suddenly, or begin choking on something while she had been crying. You rushed through the door to her nursery, finding her cooing and babbling at the giant black dog that was standing with its two front paws over the edge of her crib.
She had your husband by the nose, giggling at the cold, wet feeling that it gave off. If she had been playing with any other dog, you were sure her not-so-gentle fur tugging or head pats would get her a rather harsh bite, but Sirius stood there and took whatever she could dish out, only whining lowly in his throat when she yanked too hard at his tail.
--
The first time she learns to weaponize this alter ego of her father's is when she's four, and he won't let her have ice cream for dinner. She goes outside with a huff, and Sirius debates whether or not he should call her back inside and talk to her about her behavior, or let it go and let her play with her little friends.
You manage to convince him to let it go, and monitor her from the window in the living room. She disappears into one of the bushes surrounding your home, but you think nothing of it, because the bushes are backed up against a wall, so she's not going anywhere.
It only takes her two minutes to return, a devilish smirk on her face as she holds her arms out in front of her, a tiny gray kitten gripped gently in her hands.
"Daddy," She begins, tone dripping with condescension, "I want ice cream for dinner."
"Darling, I said n-" Sirius finally turns around from his stance at the kitchen counter where he's chopping vegetables, eyes widening and hands dropping whatever they were occupied with, balling up into fists, "Why is that thing in my house?"
"It's just a cat," She teases, gently waving the animal about, "What, are you scared of it?"
"No. I am not scared of a cat." Sirius huffs, eyes trained mercilessly on the feline, "But I won't let one live in my house. Take it outside, now."
"Not unless I can have ice cream for dinner."
Sirius's eyes widen at the realization that she's blackmailing him, she's actually blackmailing him, and he stares her down as she inches closer to him with the cat in hand.
Just before the little kitten's paws can tangle themselves in Sirius's apron, (baby blue, 'Kiss the Cook' is embroidered on it), he throws his hands up in frustration, "Fine. Fine! Y'know what, this is fine. You wanna have ice cream for dinner? Be my guest. You wanna get hopped up on sugar and not be able to sleep tonight? Be my guest. But so help me god," Sirius waves his spatula threateningly at your daughter, "if you come into Mommy 'n my room tonight, and think you get extra playtime just because y'can't sleep, we're tossin' y'out."

Your eyes gazed tearily up into Sirius's as you waited backstage, "Siri, please, what if I'm not good?"
"Ah, c'mon peach! I've heard you before, I wouldn't invite you up if you weren't good. I have a reputation to uphold, you know." Sirius joked, hand wrapping around your shoulders and tugging you into his side.
Your worries were hardly soothed by his jokes but you knew that there was no time to panic, brain furiously running over the lyrics you'd spent weeks perfecting. You could hear the roar of the crowd from out past the stage, and thinking of performing in front of the massive mob of people you were usually a part of was making you begin regretting this arrangement.
"Y'ready pet?" Sirius gestured to the employee that was urging you both forwards, grabbing your clammy hand in his own.
You swallowed your anxiety, nodding up at him wearily, "Let's go now, or I'll change my mind."
Sirius chuckled at you, muttering a soft, "Tha's m'girl." Before you finally passed the barriers on the side of the stage, exposed to the harsh lights of the venue and the screaming fans.
Please do something for Sirius and his daughter where she is rather dramatic like him and stubborn. She gets sorted into Slytherin and she just absolutely refuses. Dumbledore sends Sirius a warning that you were sorted into Slytherin just in time for y/n to walk in the door and walk directly to your room.
All I can imagine is
Sirius: pup you're supposed to be in school.
Y/n: no I got sorted wrong obviously so I'm just gonna stay here and be taught by you and Moony.
Receiving a letter that his daughter was missing was the absolute last way Sirius wanted his morning to go. His eyes roamed frantically over the scripted ink, brows furrowing when he read Dumbledoreâs explanation for your behavior.
âMr. Black, I trust you knew she was hesitant about the possibility of Slytherin. She hasnât been seen since the ceremony, her roommates said she didnât come to their dorm last night. Rest assured we will locate her immediately and keep you updated throughout the process.â
Sirius heard the door open behind him, heart racing in his chest as he swiveled around, âMoony, Y/Nâs- Y/N?â
You stood gloomily in the doorway, trunk by your side and sour scowl on your lips. The knot in Siriusâs chest loosened itself slightly, panic no longer clouding his head and quickening his breathing.
âWhaddya doinâ here, pup? I watched you get on that train mâself, yâshould be at school.â
ââM not goinâ tâschool there anymore. Yâcan homeschool me.â You declared, crossing your arms over your chest and letting your trunk lean against your leg.
âOh? And whyâs that?â Sirius stood, stuffing the letter into the pocket of his robe.
âThe stupid hat sorted me wrong, ân Dumbledore wonât let me retry. âS so unfair, itâs not my fault their talking clothes are cracked!â
Sirius felt a fond smile creep over his lips, worry dissipating from his weary form, âHatâs never wrong, pup.â
A look of heinous indignation crossed your features, nose scrunching as your mouth opened in protest, âWhatâre you saying? That Iâm a bloody snake?!â
âY/N,â Siriusâs voice was tinged with amusement at your language, âBeing in Slytherin doesnât mean youâre a bad person.â
You propped a hand on your hip, raising one eyebrow in a fashion that reminded Sirius of himself, âThen how come every Slytherin we know is someone youâve cut off?â
âJust because I didnât care for any of them doesnât mean theyâre bad. Plus, whether your robes are red or green, youâre still my kid, ân I love you.â
Your lips formed a soft pout at his words, eyes glazing over with consideration, âBut everyoneâs gonna make fun of me. Theyâll say Iâm walking in grandmaâs footsteps.âÂ
At the mention of his mother Siriusâs face turned sour, âIf anyone compares you to that cow, Iâll pummel âem for âya.â
You let a soft smile overtake your face at his (probably) empty threats, ââStill wanna stay here with you ân Moony.â
Sirius leaned down to mutter into your ear, âYâdidnât hear it from me, but Moons is lookinâ for teaching jobs at Hogwarts. âWants tâmake sure you donât get into any trouble.â
âIâm your kid,â You huffed, âI got into trouble on my first night there.â
Sirius chuckled, a hand on your shoulder as he hugged you tight against his side, âI know, pup. Jusâ think, if he finds a job, yâcan start having lunch with Moony and his big black dog on weekends.â
The rest of the worry that had clouded your brain was wiped away at the thought of your father sitting under the table at a Hogsmeade cafe, reduced to begging for scraps so as not to appear human. You let out a soft giggle, watching as Sirius grabbed your trunk, slipping his robe off so that his slightly wrinkled clothes were on display, âCâmon then, pup, letâs get you back to school.â

Sirius makes me go wild
--
The door to the classroom you've taken refuge in swings open before you have time to conceal your black eye, hands flying up to cover the bruise in vain. You squint at the person entering, trying to make out through your tears who it is, and your stomach drops when you recognize Sirius Black.
You are not in the mood for his bullshit today.
"Get the fuck out, Black, I don't wanna deal with this right now."
You wait for his witty retort, blood already boiling at the intrusion, but all you hear is more footsteps.
"What the fuck happened here, Y/L/N?" You feel him tug at the hand that's covering your eye and you try to bat it away, but he's already pried it away from your face and stands gaping at the bruise.
"None of your bloody business. Just leave me alone, please."
"Listen, usually I'd be more than happy to let you stew in your own hatred, but if someone did this on purpose-"
"Just go! There's nothing you can do about him, please just-"
"What?"
"Black, seriously," You choose not to dwell on the involuntary pun that you'd made and you're glad that he doesn't either, "Now is not the time. Usually I have enough patience to deal with you but I can't right now, please, just give me a break."
"Y/N," He crouches down, jaw set in a firm frown, "Who did this to you?"
You try recalling if you'd ever once heard Sirius use your first name. You know each other's, but it's so much more cold to refer to each other by last name only. This feels friendly, and you aren't sure you like it.
"Funnily enough," You recall the wretched mop of blonde hair that you'd watched walk away from your crumpled form, "One of your fuckin' cousins."
"Which one?" Sirius's voice is eerily calm, none of the usual mocking timbre invading it.
"Lucius," You groan, wiping away a stray tear that had fallen down your cheek, "He said I was in his way and 'accidentally' elbowed me."
Sirius stands silently, waving his wand briefly over your face and shocking you into your own silence as your pain ebbs away, "Hey, where did you learn how to heal bruises?"
"Don't worry about it," Sirius mumbles, "I have to go now. Ice it if it's still hurting later, spell's not perfect."
You're barely able to call out a thank you behind Sirius before he's storming out of the classroom, leaving you alone once more with your thoughts.
--
It wasn't until the next morning at breakfast when you found out why Sirius had left you so fast, watching with a stunned smirk on your face as Lucius shuffled into the great hall, hair dyed bright red and face tinted blue and purple.
You sent a sneaky glance over at Sirius, choking into your goblet when your eyes met his own. He did nothing but nod subtly at you, turning back to James Potter who was badgering him incessantly about god knows what.
If this still makes the cut, how about having a black kitten named Siri and Sirius meeting them for the first time đ

You barely have time to get the keys into your apartment lock before Sirius has you up against the back of the door, taking the keys from your hands and throwing them across the room. You momentarily worry about losing them, what if they'd landed somewhere hidden? But then Sirius's tongue is back in your mouth and you don't care anymore, eyes slipping shut as you let him take up your attention once more.
You have half a mind to lead him to the couch, push him down onto the cushions and straddle his hips, but you're interrupted before you can process it.
You feel a soft tug at the leg of your pants, a quiet hiss coming from somewhere near your feet. Your eyes fly open and you push Sirius away, breaking the kiss to stare down at your kitten, who'd wormed their way between your feet and was looking murderously up at Sirius.
"Siri," You cooed, bending down to pick up the kitten before they could lunge at your boyfriend, "Don't be mean."
"How 'm I bein' mean?!" Sirius frowned, eyeing the cat in your arms with mild distaste.
"No, not you," You giggled, "My cat's name is Siri."
Sirius raised an eyebrow at you, momentarily distracted from the hissing furball in your grip, "What?"
"They were so cute and crawled right into my lap and smacked me on the nose, they wanted my attention so bad," You recalled, "Jus' reminds me of you."
"No fair! I'm not that needy." Sirius huffed, hands returning to your waist as he kept his distance from your cat, "Now put 'em somewhere else so I can have you all to myself."
Y/n Black gets into trouble at school causing Sirius to get multiple letters home from school about her. He has gotten good at explaining why some pranks are not ok. Until he gets the one about y/n making in rain on Snape all day, just Snape he had his own personal rain cloud.
Today is Sirius Black day!! Send me some Sirius stuff please :)
The howler that arrives for you the morning after your successful prank sends your heart plunging into your stomach, the familiar red smoking envelope striking fear into you.
"No point in delaying the inevitable," Harry grimaces, "Just open it."
You nod, peeling open the wax seal on the back and flinching as it flies out of your hands, animating itself in mid-air.
"Y/N," You can hear the smile in your father's voice, the lump in your throat lessening slightly, "Listen, I heard what you did, and I just.. You have to know.. There's just some things that you can't- Oh, fuck it, Remus, I'm giving up."
You snort at your father's change in tone, and the shocked stares it gets you from the rest of the students.
"That was fucking brilliant. Got his greasy hair all wet, I bet he looked like a drowned rat-"
"Sirius!"
There's a second voice in the letter, admonishing the first, and you recognize it as Remus's, "Y/N, I'm sure everyone thought that what you did was very funny, but you can't disrespect teachers like that."
You roll your eyes at the life lesson Remus was attempting to give to you, eyes fixed on the howler once more as it switches back to your dad's voice.
"Oh, shove it Rem, you laughed when you heard too."
