I kinda briefly mentioned this in an old post, but after my recent post about Scien being weirdly obsessed with Germa I was thinking too. Of the trio MADS dumbasses only Caesar kinda doesn't change appearance-wise? And that somehow coincides with how it seems like he's the only one who stuck to his guns the whole time.

Like I know Oda-sensei sometimes seems like he just wants to draw funny faces for the hell of it, but you know...

Scien's name is "Queen the Plague" and his specialty had seemed to be more drugs/virology even in the MADS cover story. For some reason he turned to cyborg/machine engineering, which kinda had felt more like Germa specialty. And who knows what he's been doing the whole time with Kaidou?

Judge too, with the whole conquering North Blue.

But Caesar stuck to being a scientist and still trying to beat Vegapunk. He still kept doing Devil Fruit research too, and while he added the poison gas research that's still in relation to his own devil fruit powers.

Kinda reminds me of the "bad end" future where Sanji ends up like Judge in the messed up timeline, but remains more or less the same in the "normal" timeline.

Like, maybe it's really just unfortunate genetics, but honestly... Both Scien and Judge looks like they started deteriorating in that one cover where they were fighting to be the "number 2".

I speculated that around this time Judge became the king, and you can also see that Scien had also started his cyborg experiments, as seen by his robotic arm. So maybe it really was because they completely lost the plot and went down the wrong way.

I've always thought that Caesar's desire to best Vegapunk was so tragic. Like, he has an objective disadvantage, given Vegapunk's devil fruit. Sure, there's always a person's creativeness and smarts and they matter, but having an endless brain capacity is just unfair.. Even coming close to Vegapunk in one field would already be a huge achievement.

So the fight for this №1 spot always hits me in the feels whenever I think too much about it.

(I guess this also applies to the other MADS members, but I'm biased towards my fav)

Striving to be the best even when it is impossible is admirable in a way. The need to have the top spot forced him to go above and beyond. With every odd stacked against him, it may have seemed pointless, but with that effort came fantastic nightmarish creations that only Caesar (and the others) would've thought to create, due to his own creative twists. While climbing that never ending hill towards №1, Caesar managed to sink his teeth and claws into the world, leaving an everlasting effect on it which so few villains could manage. His creations are still whispered about and leave people shuddering long after he left the main storyline, and that's worth something.

TLDR: I love him and will not hesitate to ramble.

I firmly believe Perospero was just straight up putting on a brave face trying to act unbothered when he replaced his right hand.

There's no way he was only mad at the inconvenience that drinking tea would become because... He's actually unable to feel whatever he touches w his right hand. He's a paramecia, therefore the candy is not touch-sensitive and he's more than a bit inconvenienced. That's a big deal, and he's a big fat liar trying to keep appearances.
