Ok, last whiny post for a while and then back to art, I promise, buuuuuut...

I've noticed in some fan works where the Vinsmoke brothers are able to gain back their empathy and break out of Germa, many times, Reiju gets left behind...and then she is never ever elaborated on again, or if she is, it's just her being in generic misery while the brothers are out there discovering themselves and developing.

Ever since I've noticed this it's been nibbling at me as my little bugbear because it represents a wider phenomenon in the fandom where there is simply an incuriosity to explore more of Reiju and her character outside of her being sad and suffering in Germa. Which...she does go through, yes, but it's so rare to see fan works giving her some agency and wants outside of Sanji worship or being turned into Sora 2.0 for her brothers that I can actually count them on one hand.

We GOTTA leave the sexy lamp trope in the past.

fanfiction pet peeve of the day: in AUs where Sanji for some reason returns to Germa as an adult he just gets thrown into the dungeon again, continuing to serve as a punching bag for his brothers. honestly it sounds really unlikely to me considering they made a raid suit for him - with an intention to give it to him as a wedding gift and to make him work with them, i guess. and the suit awakening his genes only adds more evidence to it - sounds like something planned rather than a surprise side effect...

Hey mate one piece new chapter sanji say he can't kick Zaza cuz she's woman so I think sanji will defeat zaza by conqueror haki cuz he getting hyped for conqueror haki

He literally said in the chapter that he'd just beat up Killingham so that the MMAs will go away, like it's really that simple. He doesn't need to fight Zaza.

Also I honestly do not care about the fights, I'm more of a lore person. I have no interest in Conqueror Haki at all unless Oda-sensei is going to tell me that "Actually the so called Military Power of Germa 300 years ago is an army of Conqueror Haki users".

The kanji for Omen reads as "MAki" 魔気. Both Diable 悪魔風 (AkuMA-fuu) and Ifrit 魔神風 (MAjin-fuu) in kanji form also includes "ma 魔", so maybe there's a connection there.
