Hello.

My name is Arsenic. You can also call me Nick. I use He/Him and It/Its. I'm an artist of many varieties. I write, draw, and I am learning to play music on the guitar.

I have many passions and interests, such as: The Magnus Archives, Scott Pilgrim, PARASiTE FLOWER, OMORI, and I've recently started watching Sanders Sides. I also have a very disruptive interest in Pinnipeds.

I'm probably going to post a variety of things here. I am implementing a tag system to keep this space put together.

It's like. you don't get your own childhood. not "didn't get the childhood you wanted," it's "didn't get a childhood that was yours." and you're supposed to be normal about it. and people tell you Oh you didn't miss much it was bad and awful for xyz reasons you really don't Actually want to be raised as a girl. well, what if I was a girl anyway and everyone acted like I wasn't. called me a name that wasn't mine. told me I was a person I wasn't until I believed it and clung to that fake person until I saw it was cutting into my hands. it wasn't mine. that child wasn't me; wasn't allowed to be me; wasn't even allowed to know there was a me. what if, on a very real level, my childhood was not mine? what if I wanted a childhood where I was actually seen, even if it hurts? and I'm supposed to be normal about it

we've definitely posted about this before but if i see one more person act like the only forms of childhood trauma that exist are abuse from family or sexual assault i will actually start crying and it will be so so so loud everyone will hear it from every corner of the earth

I was drawing a thing about arsenics origins (I am experimenting with an AU of him in which he is simply a being of justice that takes form every decade or two. this doodle is him in his first life; one in which he is in a rather strict boarding school. a religious one at that. ouch. in this school, arsenic is mistreated for having always been mentally unwell and it results in his death. since he died of injustice, he became a being whose purpose is to serve justice) and I thought this little doodle of him smoking while sitting down was kind of cute so have it!

I would like to say this was my reaction while thinking about meeting a doctor and some of his first feedback about me just being "significantly neurodivergent" like yeah ok. thanks i guess

Seals of the family Phocidae and seals of the family Otariidae are often referred to as "true/earless seals" and "furred/false/eared seals" for easier distinction between seals and sea lions,but did you know “true seals” (phocids) actually do in fact have ears? However they are not ones you can see. Covered by the surface of their skin, these seals have a tiny opening that allows them to hear. Matter of fact,they are actually thought by scientists to be able to hear higher frequencies than sea lions (otariids) when underwater,however the reverse is true on land when sound is traveling through the air.
