Keeping track of my dad's thoughts on Madoka as we watch, currently ep 1-7:

- he thinks the two Madokas in the opening are in love because he hasn't realized they're the same person

- he didn't trust Kyuubey or Homura from jump

- around episode 4, he thought Sayaka would be a more powerful magical girl than Madoka

- he thinks Sayaka should fall in love with a wizard (a wizard would be cooler than Kyosuke, according to him)

- he thinks Sayaka got conned because Kyuubey didn't also heal Kyosuke's legs

- "she's gonna have some bad news coming" - my dad after Sayaka says seeing Kyosuke play again is the happiest moment of her life

- he wants them to kill Kyuubey

I know the jjk leak culture was bad and led to the worst takes due to the rough translations and people reading ONLY the leaks, but it was also the most fun I'd had in a fandom in ages

I just finished replaying the FeMC route in Persona 3 Portable, and it really is the superior version of that story. The Junpei social link and the Ryoji social link are two of the best in the whole franchise, and it removes dud links like Kenji and replaces them with either more plot-relevant characters who should have had a link to begin with or links with better characters like Saori. The one downside is the potential romance route with Ken, which is just... why did they include that??? But it can be easily avoided. Also! Koromaru social link! Why did I not have the chance to bond with the goodest boy as Makoto???

My dad does this thing where every week he reminds me that the trash needs to go out and asks if I'm going to do it or if he should, except he doesn't do this in a passive-aggressive way the way you'd think but instead is hoping he'll catch me being lazy and let him do it because he hates having me do things for him (he believes children should never have to do things for their parents, an insane take that ignores the passage of time)
