He’s already rejected me earlier today, but who cares about him now. All I wanted was to give him some consolation, but apparently he’s too good for that. I’m not so interested…in Celimene’s discarded gigolos anymore.

She often misunderstands people and take things so negatively, like when I was kind enough to visit her the other day and give some helpful advice, she took it offensively and got so angry with me. My advice to you is to just tell her how great she is and she'll probably forgive you.
I wish Alceste would look at me like the way he does at Celimene. He talks about how she's so amazing, but I don't think she deserves to have his heart. Look at how she can't settle with one guy. Though she is my friend, I say again Alceste, you're very much too good for Celimene.

Celimene, I really don't think it's smart to talk about how much you love parties and boys where the whole world can see it. You see, people have been criticizing you behind your back, about your light behavior and your dashing ways, the quantity of the gentlemen you see, and your by now notorious coquetry. I'm just offering you some honest advice, that one must avoid the outward show of vice. You should take down this post right now.
Some people think I'm so desperate for love, but I'm actually just more comfortable being single. There is nothing wrong with that like this article tells you! Some people are more happy staying single than going the way everyone else chooses to (marriage). We enjoy the solitude, and like to spend our time on things that are most meaningful to us, like God, for me. If I was too busy flirting with guys, I would not have time for the real important things. So I'm not single because men are not attracted to me; lovers are no great trouble to collect if one prefers them to one's self-respect.
My God's love for me is so similar to my love for Alceste... This bible verse describes my feelings so well. If you are reading this, Alceste, she whom you love, and who pretends to love you, is, I regret to say, unworthy of you. But unlike her, my love for you is true, eternal, and loyal. I will never fail you.
I know that my sweet Celimene is often very busy, but I fail to see why she can’t just choose a suitor as her husband. I mean really! It’s obvious that I am the best pick for her - I’m rich, powerful, and beautiful, just like her. I say, it’s a match made in Heaven.

I prayed for my dear Célimène today at church. Her reputation is not getting any better with her coquettish ways, and I wish she would take my thoughtful advice and start thinking about her actions. I mean not to hurt her, I truthfully am concerned about my friend; it feels as if my heart is being torn apart to hear others talk unpleasant gossip about her!
