Crazy how fast things change on this lake. Just yesterday this was 1-2 foot waves - now frozen at 1/4 - 1/2 inch. This time tomorrow you'll be able to walk on it so long as the waves don't pick up. After it establishes strength, it will take quite a while to thaw. It will not be getting above 0°C until Feb 13th. Notice the middle of the lake, (the area of 50' -100' depth)... Its starting to cap out there too. I'm really hoping this week allows a walkable bridge to be made. Ready to go #icefishing #lakehuron #winter #ice #somuchfun (at Port Hope, Michigan)
